I posted awhile back about wanting to get the backpack harnesses for my girls. Well, we haven't really gone anywhere that required them since buying them, so they like to play with them around the house. They carry them to me and say, "back pack" and want them on....then they grab each others "tails" and chase each other around. So, at least they like them. Well, we took them to the zoo on Saturday. There were a ton of kids there who also had them. They worked out great, no problems at all. I would HIGHLY recommend them! We took the wagon too b/c we knew they would get tired...but they are awesome!

My girls love theirs, too! We don't use them that often, but they love to hold their "bears" in the car. :)

We just received them yesterday as birthday gifts. I agree...they are GREAT! They love them and even enjoy walking around the house with them. We took them to an amusement park today and they worked out perfectly. We put their Robeez in a ziploc and then use the little zippered pouch to hold them when they aren't walking around.

YAY!!! I'm glad you used them successfully. (Now picture me (alone at the zoo) with both in their backpacks walking and me pulling the wagon and them going in totally different directions :rotflmbo: ) I have to try them again because I haven't for a while (well, DH and I did together....but not me alone)....

Thanks for updating us. I've been thinking about getting them for a while now, but haven't yet. I'm glad to know people are having good experiences with them.

I bought them too, and also used them at the zoo this last Saturday. Our girls love the bears, and ask for them to be put on.

Ya know, I was adamantly against these thinking they were like a dog leash - until I had kids!! Now I think they would be great so thank you for your post. May I ask where you got them and about how much they cost? So glad your girls did well with them! :D

I got them at Target...Eddie Bauer brand. They were $9.99 each! They also have the same things at WalMart...GoldBug brand. I think they are the same price at the Target ones.

After an insane trip to the doctor's office today with my 3 little ones, I realized I was completely overwhelmed and outnumbered. We bought these on the way home! My husband was against them at first (don't know why, my 4-year-old had one when she was 2!), but I quickly told him that since I was the one taking them everywhere by myself, I would be making the decision. They enjoyed wearing them on our walk tonight - we'll see how they do when they have to go somewhere and stay with me.

Before I had twins I would not even consider them. My philosophy was if I needed one, then I just needed to stay home.

However, I think we will be purchasing them very soon. Now that both babies are walking, I don't want to stay home just because they have 2 separate minds.

Thanks for this post and the tips on where to find them. ;)

Has anyone tried the Tommiguard harness especially for twins?

I looked at getting that one, but it seems like might get tangled up, so I went with the seperate ones.

Has anyone had any issues with them? I've thought about them but if either one of them wants to go one way and I hold their hand and stop them they crash to the ground. I figured they'd do the same to me. I can see them pulling and screaming because they ran out of room to run.

Mine think it's funny when they "run out of rope." They giggle and turn around so we start going again. Definitely practice at home. I've learned that I can't put the loop around my wrist b/c when they cross each other then I'm all tangled up. So, I have to hold onto the loop and switch hands if they move around me.

We were at the mall w/our 18month old twins and 4 month old. I had our dd on her leash and our 4 month old. DH had our ds. A lady walked up to him and told him "He's not a dog." She then saw me trying to control the stroller and our dd and looked very ashamed of herself. I love them and would be lost w/out them. We don't have a triplet stroller so I wouldn't be able to go anywhere w/out them.
