Its been almost 5 months since I have had the boys and I am still having lower back pain and stiffness, I figured it was the excess weight I gained but it doesnt seem to be going away even though I have lost a pile of weight. I have decided to go for phisiotherophy for help but I just wanted to hear others stories or problems and see if anyone had any suggestions. The only exercise I have been doing is walking because I had a c-section so I kinda favor that area because it still kinda burns at times.

My back KILLED me for a long time after giving birth. I was also not used to picking up the babies and bending over in weird positions and doing all the things you do with two babies. I think the pain did go away eventually I'd say at 6 months post partum. I have no pain at all now.

I'm pretty sure the weakened abdominal muscles can cause lower back strain. And they are even weaker due to the c-section. I don't have too many back problems, but I do notice when I sleep on my stomach, my lower back is sore and stiff when I try to roll over and get up. I think that doing a lot of leaning forward in picking up the babies, playing with the babies on the floor, etc. can also cause lower back strain. Hopefully your phisiotherapist can give you some strengthening exercises to help you feel better.

I was a limp ball of muscles after I gave birth for a long time. I was on bedrest for quite awhile and gaining weight like crazy. Then in the blink of an eye, having an emerg c-section, pumping non-stop, and not sleeping. I could barely take a walk around the block without being uncomfortable. But gradually I got stronger and stronger. I bet you will too. Sounds great for being proactive and taking a class!!

I still have back pain. I think when the girls were first born it was because I was so weak after bedrest and then a c-section. During the first year I think it was because I was hauling around 2 heavy infant carriers, and now its because I'm hauling two heavy toddlers. Sorry no advice, just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone.

I have a lot of strange feelings in my lower back since having them. Not sure if I would call it pain. I don't know how to describe it besides very annoying LOL

I had to go in for physical therapy for my lower back. There are muscles that you haven't used in a while b/c of the pregnancy. I had to learn to use them again. I am still not 100% but I am better.

I had upper back pain right after giving burth, then started having some lower back pain. The other day I really did something to my lower back and it really hurts now. I think a lot of it has to do w/ my diastasis and carrying 2 in infant carriers. I may go for physical therapy
