Back Pain?

I have had the worst back pain for weeks now it hurts at work while I'm sitting all day then at night I'm up in pain for hours. I was thinking about a chiropractor but my Tufts Insurance doesnt cover it and I have Mass Health as a secondary but most chiropractors dont take up. So I'm wondering is there anything else that helps with back pain? Its mostly lower right around my tail bone.

 

I have the same thing going on. I sit at a desk all day also. I think I'm going to get a cushion/massager for my desk chair soon. I told my dr about my back and she asked if I wanted to go to a physical therapist. I told her I would wait a while to see if it got better but I think I'm going to agree at my next appointment. Does your insurance company cover physical therapists?

 

Right now my back pain is worse when I stand. So for the mean time sitting helps. I'm carrying all my weight up front, I am all belly, so I think that is why my back is bothering me. When I've had backaches before I've always used a heating pad for relief. Have you tried that?

 

I have had bad back pain for a couple of weeks now (I think because I am carrying the extra weight plus still lifting/chasing my 2 year old!). I bought a belly bra/belt thing which has helped a lot. It helps support my ever growing belly and strengthens my back. I am also off to a physio for the first time today. If she gives me any good tips I will post again later.

I found accupuncture worked well for me for any back aches and pains. Good Luck!
