I've been having really bad back pain today - any advice on how to help it feel better?

I lay on my side and stuff fluffy pillows behind my back and try to lean into them slightly. It makes me feel a little better.

A warm bath or a really hot stream of shower water pointed right at that painful area for a little while feels soooo good. Ice packs work for me too. If you can lay on your back for a little while on the floor, that can help relax the muscles. Also being on your hand and knees then arching and flexing your back. Tylenol helps a bit.

Just got out of a deep warm bath (which I had to share with my 5 year old and 2 year old).... but it certainly has helped the back. I have resorted to nearly crawling everywhere in my house as my back and top of legs have completely seized up and the only way I can walk is to waddle exageratedly..... No such thing as walking forward in a straight line anymore.

Hope you are able to find something that works for you...

I have never been one for baths - but these last few weeks I have been having one every day.

    Good luck.

I´ve been going for weekly massages since January and they have really helped. I´d have one every day if I could afford it!! I see a specialist though and he has experience with working with pg women. He really works my back and I practically skip out of there afterwards!!! He can never get over the size of my enormous belly though!! :D

    1. Nice long massage by DH
    2. Heating pad
    3. Cat stretches (on hands and knees, slowly arching then rounding the back)
    4. Tylenol (if desperate!)

    HTH!

All that has been said are good suggestions. A warm bath will most likely do the trick. If you have a chronic condition, I believe you can take a narcotic painkiller up till your third trimester. I think
