    Hi All!
So, am starting to be so uncomfortable sleeping at night (on terbutaline which makes your heart race) and finding a comfy spot during the day. My back has started to ache incredibly and I do take Tylenol from time to time (but don't want to take too much) as well as use a very light heating pad- but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? I am only into week 3 and 4 more months to go- and know there are many of you have been doing this so much longer!
    Many thanks
    Carrie

    Pillows, pillows, pillows.

I have so many pillows and I use them to prop me up in different ways. Now, I have it easier because I'm in the hospital and can adjust my bed, which is nice. I also have an air mattress that helps a ton. Maybe that's a option for you too- maybe a small air bed or one of those foam things.

You just have to get creative and try lots of different things. And then sometimes, it's just going to hurt. I've been on bed rest for 12 weeks now and can say that the back pain has gotten better. Or I've just gotten use to it!

    Hi Gina,
I have been reading your posts and think about you on your long hospital bedrest! You are the expert! May I ask why you are there?
The foam or air mattress is a great idea. Maybe they can replace some of the millions of pillows! LOL
    Many thanks!
    Carrie

Is it lower back pain? Lower back pain can be a sign of labor. That is what happened to me. If it is lower back pain, I would let you OB know.

Other than that, I was told tylenol and heating pad on low heat and don't leave it on too long. Hope you find some relief soon.

I'm sure a lot of the discomfort comes from not getting up enough and not being able to really stretch.... I would talk with your doc about ways to stretch or take some pressure off of your back. I was taking a lot of warm baths until last week when we found out my tub has a crack which we learned by having water come through our living room ceiling!!!! It made me feel really fat!!!!
Try the tub, It was working for me!!! :wavey:
