Of course its a virus, but I'm so glad we went because Meara started coughing today and it sounds bad. Thankfully their lungs are clear, but if the fever doesn't break by tomorrow we have to go back on Friday for more tests (blood work and maybe a chest x-ray)... so all fingers crossed that the fevers break by tomorrow. They are napping (again!) now and besides being snotty and hot (and coughing too), there are such sweet little girls who did there best to flirt with the nurses and never complained once during the exam. Oh and they got weighed to make sure we were giving them enough tylenol. Meara weighs 17lbs 8oz (!!!) and Ana weighs 16lbs 9oz. I can't believe how much they've grown in 8 months. Oops.. they are waking up... please keep those fingers crossed for us that they wake up tomorrow fever-free. Thanks ladies! -leighann

Thanks everyone! Ana seems to have turned a corner. Her fever is down, but her cough sounds horrible! Meara is still very feverish, snot running out of her poor little nose and she coughs like a 80 year old who has smoked most of her life. Also her little voice is horse. But she slept well last night with the humidified on so hopefully today she will start to turn the corner as well. DH and I are already talking about alternative t-day plans in case we can't fly out on Monday. I just hope M's fever breaks today because I don't want her to have to go to the hospital tomorrow for blood work and a chest x-ray. Last time we were there for Ana's blood work (coincidentally right before we were about to fly to DH's family in August), I was crying harder than her (and the nurses looked teary too).. I swear you could hear her screaming 10 floors up where DH's office is- because he came down to check on us! I hate to see my little ones so miserable when the only thing I can do is rock them and hold them and suck the snot out of their little noses while they scream like I'm trying to murder them. Its so sad. At least my fever broke (in the ped's office yesterday- I must have looked like a crazy person dripping with sweat and stripping off my sweater in the middle of the exam). But the ped was also hacking up a lung (hope she has the same virus as us!), so she gave me an understanding nod... let the flu season begin. ug.

Sorry for the rambly post.. still working on my first cup of coffee of the morning.

Thank you guys again for your thoughts. -Leighann

I hope Ana continues to improve and Meara follows her lead! It seems like everyone is so sick this year! And so early in the season too.
