I'm Back! Everything went great, both babies looked good and each had a large amount of fluid surrounding them and both the u/s tech and dr checked all their major organs (kidney, bladder, etc..) and reported that all looked good.

More importantly though is that my cervis is still long and closed and measuring 4.3cm! They did the FFN but said the dr said he was sure that it will come back negative and will give me a call later today with the results.

He also mentioned that based on this computer program that they have that takes into consideration your cervical length at each appt that my chance of delivering before 32 weeks is less than 1 or 2%. I didn't know they could tell things like that but needless to say I was super happy to hear it (although I don't know quite how reliable that is it's still good news).

The only slight bummer is that Baby A (Madeline) is now butt down in my cervix (and the dr's could feel it when he did the FFN (freaky) which means that unless she flips around I'll be having a c-section. But in the grand scheme of things I'm:
    a) way more concerned with keeping them in there to full term than I am how they come out
    B) they still have a LONG while to change positions so we'll see.....

Anyone have Baby A butt down at 24 weeks who eventually flipped to head down?

Glad to hear of the good cervical length, know that means the world to some people. I have incompetent cervix and had to have the cerclage to prevent early dilation. Mine was 3.94cm at 1 apt, 2 weeks later it was measuring 5.4cm I was more thrilled about that then finding out the sex of the twins.

I wouldn't worry about your baby being butt down, there is still time to flip the baby around, let's hope you make it to full term and the baby flips so you can go vaginally.

Sounds like a good appt. I agree, there is still time for them to move around and change positions. Mine flipped ALOT!

Both my twins are transverse and I'm almost 34 weeks and my Doc told me yesterday that she's seen twins change positions up to 36 weeks along, so there is still plenty of time for the twins to move.

Great appt. Hopefully your cervix will stay nice and long!!! Wow, I didn't know they had a program that could tell you what your chances are of delivering before a certain time, that is pretty neat!

My Baby A was vertex at 24 wks, then went breech somewhere between there & 28 wks. While he's tried (I can feel him trying), he hasn't gotten himself head down again...the doc felt a butt today during my cervix check (last week it was a foot). My Baby B had been breech all along until my 34 wk ultrasound...he's got the right idea & went vertex! I don't know WHEN he did it, but he did (sometime AFTER my 33wk u/s).

My doc said the chances of Baby A flipping now are slim to none, but at your stage in the game, I think you've got PLENTY of time. I have heard to put something cold (ie ice pack, frozen veggies, etc) on their head to try to wiggle them around. I have 2 friends that swear by it. Didn't work for me (other than to upset the baby), but it might be worth a shot :)!

Congrats on a GREAT cervical length, too, by the way!

my baby A went from vertex to transverse at 34 weeks....so it is possible for them to move even later than 24 weeks...unfortunately in my case I didn't want her to move!!!

Did you ever think something like a few centimeters would be soo important? Thrilled to hear how well you are doing! Keep up the great work!
