babysitter has pink eye & ear infections

well, atleast i cancelled her for today. but she worked on mon & wed, probably contagious then.

what signs do i watch for? i am so freakin close to firing this girl. she's 19, flaky and sick alot. but i gotta find other help first.

i was worried about putting the girls in daycare.... they'd probably get less sick than they have with this current situation! I'm so %#&#*%(&^% mad!

 

I am sorry that things are not working out well with your sitter.

FWIW, I have had pink eye several times since the kids were born, and they have never had it. And I have been sicker these past two years, than I have ever been in my life (strep throat three times, sinus infections, random fevers/24-hour flu bugs, etc.) and my kids RARELY catch what I have. I hope your girls don't get it!

 

I am not sure if ear infections are contagious but the pink eye would probably already be showing now. They will have blood shot eyes, and usually green yucky mucus that will eventually get worse, sealing their eye lids shut while they nap etc. I think by now you would probably know. :hug99: I hope everything turns out ok.

 

My husband had pink eye a couple of months ago. Within two days of his showing up, I had it. The girls never really developed it, but we thought we so a small amount of green goo in their eyes so we called the doctor's office, told them we had it and they called in some drops for the girls. We used them for a couple of days and they never developed full-fledged pink eye. We, on the other hand, have had it a couple of times since then. I swear my eyes haven't been the same since. I, too, have been sick more tha last few months than I can remember in my entire life. I guess the girls going to day care is having it's effects on me instead of them.......
