It just hit me today that I am still giving them the same yogurt that I was 6 months ago. It is the organic baby yogurt with fruit and cereal in it. Is it ok for me to still give them that? When would I need to stop it at least for the cereal in it and switch to another kind?

I still give them Yobaby yogurt, and I mix baby oatmeal in it to make it thick enough for them to eat it themselves (if it's too thin, they have a little trouble). I don't know when I'll stop, but I plan on asking the pedi about it at the 2 year well visit.

I've looked at other yogurts, but they are all made with lowfat milk. So I'll see what the pedi has to say.

Yep, it's fine. My two still eat the YoBaby yogurt as well.

Still eating YoBaby Yogurt here too! I do the same as pp, mix it with oatmeal cereal {the baby kind}. It can't hurt, so as long as they are eating it, they are going to get it! :D

I think it's fine. They also make a Yo Kids yogurt which is lower in fat. Problem with the Yo Kids is that I can only find raspberry flavor and it's pink. My boys have generally eaten either plain yogurt, vanilla, or sometimes banana. So they will only eat white yogurt now - they won't touch the pink stuff. Go figure!

It's fine, but the reason I stopped is because they eat so darn much, it was no longer cost effective. Also, YoBaby has added sugar. I just get a big old tub of plain yogurt and add my own fruit and wheat germ.

I still feed organic baby yogurt. They love it! and I dont plan to stop anytime soon. Its good for their immune system to eat yogurt and the fact that its organic is even better.

I've never given them baby yogurt -- I just buy organic plain yogurt and mix fruit baby food or pureed fruit into it. I haven't actually compared prices, but I've been assuming that YoBaby is much more expensive.

me too. I get Nancy's whole milk organic plain yogurt out of the health food section at the grocery store (not the cream topped...bad stuff!) I then mix in some pureed fruit, even some veggies. It does come in a large tub that will last awhile.

I also give them mostly whole milk plain yogurt mixed with fruit(I occasionally use others for convenience) because yo-baby and other brands have sugar as the second ingredient = lots of sugar.
