My mom is hosting a baby shower for me and asked me for ideas on baby shower favors. I thought maybe you might have some cute ideas. I am looking for something that wouldn't be too expensive and would be something that her/I could either make or assemble. Any suggestions?

I don't know how $$ it is, but you can get M&M's that are personalized - we bagged them up and gave them out...

I wanted to do the m&m's but they were expensive since I was on a tight budget. I did find this website, it had favors for 99 cents and I was afraid when I ordered them that they would look like they came from the dollar store but they were actually pretty nice. I did the moon and star candlelight place hodler, ordered the precut tulle and personalized ribbons. Then went to the craft store and bought small plastic pacifiers and wrapped the tulle around the favor with the ribbon and secured the knot with the pacifiers, they looked so cute. Sorry I don't have a picture but I will try to get one to you.

    Here is the website:

If you shower is in the fall, why not get Mum bulbs for your guests to plant or little potted Mums? I went to a shower a few years ago and and that is what they gave away. I am hosting a tea party shower for a good friend this fall and I went to the dollar store and bought little tea light holders with pumpkin faces which I plan on putting different teas wrapped in fall ribbon in. For prizes, I bought some really cute Autumn/Halloween accessories from Homegoods (all $5 and under).

My friends did little candy bags with a "two" theme. Twix, doublemint gum, peanut butter cups... They just put the candy in cellophane bags with a little bag stuffing, blue ribbons and a tag that had a poem one of them took the time to write for the occasion about all the best things coming in twos. It was SO cute and really special! Oh, and they made me a "special" jumbo bag with all of the "extra" candy :winking0009:
