I used it with my ds 7 years ago but I already bought a couple for the babies. I would put in bananas, apples, pears, mangos, baked potatoe fries, sweet potatoe fries andything that breaks off in chunks. My only tip would be to stock up on the mesh things, they get filthy very quickly.

We have mesh feeders. So far...we have put in fresh bananas, and frozen cubes of baby food. They love them! They are really good for teething too! [IMG]

We bought one for each baby. I have only used it once, for bananas. They loved it but a word of caution: It was a huge mess! I think the problem was that we thought we should mash the bananas well before putting in the mesh. Well, it was practically pouring out. They really enjoyed it and did not have a problem getting the food.

I think it's a great idea and takes away most of the worry about choking. We'll use it again soon.

I used a mesh feeder picked up @ TRU for 3yr old- he loved melon (any kind) in it, along with most of the other things PPs have mentioned. Haven't seen this exact brand before- think the ones @ TRU were less expensive.

i used the babysafe feeder with my first dd, and she liked it alot. you can put anything in it that you want the child to eat, but might perhaps choke on. it is great to take out, cause it keeps the child busy and quiet, and a snack as well.
i would go with this brand, and not the one that you can buy at target, as the cheaper one at target has a clasp closure, whereas baby safe brand is a screwtop. the clasp closure did not look very safe to me, and i know my dd would have gotten it open. just something to think about. BRU sells these in a package with extra mesh bags, though i just popped the dirty one in the dish washer and it came out clean.
