Alright , i like the name Christopher for the boy, my hubby wants Aiden, then he suggested can we do Christopher-Aiden, anyone else have a hyphend(sp) name like this? Also we like the name Abagail ( Abby for short) for the girl, but can come up with a good middle name-- any suggestions out there?

I found a list of baby names for twins, names that were linked in a not-so-obvious way. Among them was Aidan and Nadia... they are each other spelled backwards! So maybe Abigail Nadia? To go with Christopher Aidan? Personally, I haven't heard of anyone with a hyphenated first name. Would you still have a middle name?
I love the name Abigail, I had been thinking of using Abigail Rose or Abigail Grace. I think any short, feminine name would work really well.
Good luck! I'm still far from sure of my names... I keep hoping something will just click with me!

I love all of those names! You might want to point out to him that Aiden was the #1 baby name last year, so there will be LOTS of Aidens running around! I think Christoper and Abigail sound great together. (Mine are C&A too [IMG]). You could use Aiden as a middle name with Christoper and some that I think sound pretty with Abigail are:

    Grace
    Marie
    Lynn
    Elizabeth

I have a friend with a hyphonated first name. Jance-Daphne, and she has a middle name too. I knew her as Daphne.

Our little boy has a hyphonated first name and then a middle name too! My husband popped this on me just after delivery. What a stinker!

So, Will's name is Peter-Willem Jordan Meeus. It's a mouthfull but he can hopefully just learn to spell Will for kindergarden. After that we may regret it. I can just hear him saying something goofy like "call me Jordan" in jr high or high school.

I will tell you that I feel liek we used up all of our favorite boy names on him! We've finally come up with two more boy names for these twins. It's been tough.

I also like your names. Like the pp, I like Abigail Marie, but I think lots of names go well with Abby.
    Have fun deciding!

French names are usually hyphenated I think (like Jean-pierre, Jean-Michelle,etc...). But I like Christopher Aiden w/o the hyphen. Maybe call him Topher/Tofer for nn? How about Abigail Christian or something like that to go with the boys first name? (Christina,Chrystal,Cristen).

I have nothing against hyphenated names, it's just Christopher-Aiden is a little LONG. I would do Christopher as the first name w/ Aiden as the middle name. Actually, I like Aiden Christopher better, as I think it flows better, but there are so many baby Aidens around! Aiden and Abby is so cute!

    For Abagail, I like:
    Abagail Grace
    Abagail Elizabeth
    Abagail Rose
    Abagail Claire
    Abagail Catherine
    Abagail Jane

I also like Patricia's suggestion of doing something that is related to Christopher, like Abagail Christina.

My DD's first name is hyphenated (Laura-Ashlee) and she still has a middle name (Nicole). I had fallen in love with Ashely Nicole, but my ex decided he wanted her to have my name (Laura Lee), which always sounded so hicksville to me. So, we compromised and gave her both. She goes by Ashlee or Ash though and always has. Of course, now that she's 13, she's been playing with the idea of going by Laura-Ashlee to "sound more grown up".

    HTH!

    Abigail June
    Abigail Grace
    Abigail Mae
    Abigail Faye

    I also love Abigail Grace.
If I had just one girl she might have been Abigail Bianca. But because Bianca is a special name for me.

I'm not sure, but I think the hyphenated first name will definately get shortened, at least once he hits school. I'd pick Aiden as the first name and Christopher as the middle name. But thats just my opinion. Good luck deciding. My DH and I are getting no where with our name choices!!!! [IMG]

I really like those names too. when picking out names for my 3 children i tried to stay with family names and we came up with Christopher David (Daddy & grandpa's first names, and middle was after a close friend)
Mark William (an uncle's first name and we just like the sound of William)
but my daughter was the odd ball---lol
Kenia May (Kenia is the female form of Kenneth after my grandpa, and May i took from two names, my mom's Kay, and my MIL MAE and got MAY)

Christopher Aiden is a wonderful name and i think your son will be proud of his name.
Abagail is kind of tricky to match a name with but i like the sound of Abagail Lynn, Abagail Leah, or Abagail Leslie

    Good luck on your names!!
    lots of love!

I like Christopher, like someone else said, there are so many Aiden's running around right now, I like it as a middle name and I think the hyphen looks fine.

As many others have suggested, I like Elisabeth for a middle name.

My neise was born two days ago with the name Abigail Nadia Rose
The Nadia is pronounced Nuh dee ah though not Nah dee ah.
Which is very coincidental considering Kuchar's suggestion... Which I think is just adorable!!
    Abigail Nadia & Christopher Aidan.
