I have finally started to feel baby movement w/in the last couple of days. However, I seem to only feel Baby A (righty) most of the time. I THINK occasionally I feel baby B but not nearly as much and I am not convinced it is baby B. Even with baby A's movement I don't feel it very often just a few times throughout the day. I know the tech said that my placenta was in front and from where she pointed it would be pretty much over baby B, is this probably the reason I feel the other more at this point? Just wondering what others experience has been when they first started feeling baby movements with their twins. I am such a worrier with everything this pregnancy!!!

    TIA!

I started feeling the babies at 20 weeks and quite honestly, I didn't know which was which at that point. :pardon: When is your next OB visit? Maybe you can ask them to do an u/s so you can see exactly how they are positioned and you can ask if the way your placenta is positioned would affect you feeling one more then the other.

For the last few weeks I swore I only felt baby A and very speratically maybe a couple times a day, but when they did an ultrasound last week I noticed that the babies had moved and I was probably feeling both but who knows. Within the pastthree days the movement has increased 20 fold, liteally I woke up a few days ago and realized I had been feeling them all night (I havent slept great throughout this pregnancy) and ever sence they have been jumping all around in there. I am peranoid about everything during this pregnancy so I know its hard but just relax  they are still very small but it will come very soon and they'll be kicking 24/7 :D

i had the exact same thing happen. i could go 2 days and not feel B at all, and start to freak out. But by 23 weeks i was definitely feeling them both every day. You wait all these weeks to feel them finally get strong enough to be felt, and then by 32 weeks they are so big you dont feel them as often cause they have run out of room to flip-flop and really kick. As long as i feel them squirming about a few times a day, i dont worry about it.

I am the same way.. I have an anterior placenta as well, and baby A is off to one side enough that I always feel him squirming around, but baby B is just in a position I don't feel quite as much. Now at nearly 26 weeks I do feel them both every day, but I definitely feel one more than the other. From ultrasounds Baby B is always sort of the lazier one too.. but I know he's healthy!

I went through different phases from about 20-30 weeks. Sometimes I would feel one baby a TON and then they would switch and I would feel the other a TON!
It did get hard for me to decipher who was who in there up until the last month and a half or so ;)

Luckily I have an u/s & O.B. on Thursday. My peri has me scheduled for one every three weeks at this point which I love. I see them, see they are doing well, and am content for about 2, 2.5 weeks, when the worry starts to get bad again...boom time for another u/s!

Thanks ladies for all your input, I know I am just being paranoid :D

I am just like you. I have one placenta and it is right in front which is keeping me from feeling them and I really didn't feel them kick until a week ago and still only feel them every once in a while but yesterday I had to go into the dr bc of pains I was having and they hooked me up to a NST monitor and it was cool because I could associate the feelings I was having with sounds.

Yea!! I am glad you are feeling the movements too. I know you had posted some things about feeling them and we were pretty much in the same boat and right around the same point in our pregnancy. Although, from the looks of your March belly picture, we are no where near the same in belly size!!! LOL You look really cute and I am totally HUGE.

I first felt movement around 19 weeks...it was baby b and i hadn't felt baby a as yet, but wen i went for my 20 week appointment I could see both of them kicking and moving around. I asked my OB if it was normal to feel one baby and not the other and he said most of the time you can't really tell which baby is moving when. Now that I'm further along I do a count card everyday.

I still don't know who's kicking me! They have been flipping from breech to vertex so just when I think I know who's who, I don't... It has gotten better from the beginning though...

I feel only baby a for a while ( I start feel kicking at 18 weeks )and never feel baby B ( baby A has posterior placenta and baby B anterior)
so at my 20w u/s I told the tech about that. and said that baby a I feel and we figured our that she was kicking me by her elbow. and I never know how baby B is doing. and she said that he is the same active as baby A but because of the placenta you will feel him much later because he need to grow bigger then placenta and start kicking the uterus when I will feel him. and now onve in a while I feel him kicking but not as offen as baby a.

    Good Luck.

I am going to take one on Friday at 22w to post. My last one posted is my 20w in the Feb. thread. With my last pregnancy I took one every 5 weeks. I figured w/twins the change would come quicker so I do every two and it is crazy how much this belly grows in two weeks!!

i definitely felt one more than the other most of my preg. Sometimes one is just behind more "stuff" and you can't feel it as much. I think that's why, anyway. It's definitely normal.

i must be crazy cuz i think i feel them already- IS THAT possible at 14 weeks? It has to be because it's faint but definite independant punches, not often, like 4 or 5 times aday and usually in am or when there's pressure on uterus from sitting or getting up.

Gas? Maybe but not likely since it always comes after meals.

Momma of One - I am 15 going on 16 weeks. I too swear I feel one of them jabbing every so often. Its down low, centered, and its more of a jab, then gas. I have been pregnant before, so I do know what it feels like (I think!)
I mainly feel it at night, once I finally get to settle from my day. But I JUST felt it again, as I sit here at the computer. Too cool :) for now at least! I cant imagine the punching once they get bigger?
