baby monitor in the washing machine!

Yes, I put our baby monitor receiver in the washing machine - at least it was on the delicate cycle!

I had just put the boys down to bed, and was heading downstairs to do some laundry and watch some tv. So I threw the receiver in the laundry basket and headed downstairs. I didn't even realize what I'd done until I went to switch the laundry from the washer to the dryer and there sat the receiver right on top!

We took it all apart and let it dry out, and it remarkably still sort of works. Every now and then it has a spastic beeping fit for no apparent reason, but you turn it off and back on and it's fine. Not ideal, but at this point I'm not dropping money on a new monitor!

ETA: DH's comment was - you know it has a belt clip.

And yes, the mommy brain excuse still works.

 

I ALMOST put the milk in the cabinet with the cereal yesterday. I actually did put it in but realized my mistake as I was closing the door. Yes, mommy brain still applies.

 

mommy brain will be an excuse as long as you're a mommy IMO
