Baby Juice

At what age are they able to have Baby Heinz Juice Apple or Pear without Diluting it..I haven't given the girls juice in a long time..but I diluted it back then half and half..what about now that they are 9 months old..Can I just give it them like that or still dilute it??

It's recommended to dilute it for at least the first 2 years. I'll let you in a little secret too. You don't have to buy baby juice, any unsweetened juice is fine for babies to drink (except citrus).

 

I agree that the baby juice is just a marketing thing. Once my kids started with juice, we just bought the regular apple or white grape juice. That being said, I didn't really give them juice until after 1 year and then it was very rare. My pedi doesn't recommend it.

 

I use regular apple juice and dilute it 1/4 juice to 3/4 water.

 

I havn't given it tomine yet. my pedi doesn't recommend it .

 

I still dilute it most of the time at 2.5+ - there's NO nutritional value to it.....that's why I do!

 

We seldom do juice. When they are sick it has been helpful!

 

At that age, I wouldn't give them any juice. We just started a few months ago, and I dilute it 1/2 & 1/2 with water.....even then, my pedi says no more than 4 oz per day, but he prefers just water. There really isn't nutritional value in it & it is pretty sugary. We started b/c the apple juice helps a little with dd's problems with constipation & also as a little variety.
