Is lack of movement a sign of them being in distress?

Baby B who is my more active one by far has become super quiet over the past 24-48hrs. She normally moves morning, noon and night....literally. It is constant too. The last time she was like that was Friday night. Baby A has been moving normally all weekend, but B has gotten super quiet. She moves, but it takes a lot to get her going. I have done the OJ thing twice and I get her to move for a minute and that is it. I can normally just put my hand on my belly where she is and she starts jumping around....now she won't at all.

I called and my midwife said that since it is a decrease in movement (not completely gone) that I can go to L&D today and be put on the monitors or I can go in the office in the morning and have a NST done since my next appt. isn't until the 11th and I haven't had an u/s in 3wks.

So I am going to eat, drink some caffine to see if I can get her going and go from there.

What would you do? Go today or wait til tomorrow?

Most likely everything is fine, but, there is something to be said for momma's peace of mind! Go in and get hooked up if you are worried! :hug99:

My baby A has had a decrease of movement the last couple of days too. Normally he is the one movin all over the place. Baby B is all over the place now. I think its because they turn inward/outward. everytime i do my kick counts i get the counts, but it still worrys me too. Do what you feel you need to do. If you feel that one of your babies are in distress then go in.. I hope everything is Okay!!

I think that if you are worried even a little and the midwife told you to go in then, go in... Even if it is nothing to worry about you will feel a lot better. Ihave heard that drinking a glass of OJ and laying down can help get the movement going. Good luck, it's probably nothing to worry about, but you will feel better when you go in and get seen! :love0028:

I have felt her move off and on today, so I decided not to go in today, but will definetly go tomorrow. I am still watching it b/c if I feel the need I can go in. So she is moving just nearly as much. I will go for the NST tomorrow.
