HELP! My DD has stains on two new shirts that have been washed and dried. Can I still get the stains out? If so, how?

It has been my luck that once it has been dried there isn't much you can do. Maybe someone else can be of more assistance

I always thought the stain set once it was dried. I try and check things I know I've put stain stuff on before they go in the dryer. I always use Shout and I think it works great. You could try and put some stain remover on and then wash it again, but it might be too late, worth a try though.

Spray and wash dual action will take it out. This is the best stuff ever, I havn't found anything it won't take out. It also took out dried in formula stains of my girl's clothes. I scrub it in and let it sit for a couple hrs and then wash it. Good luck I hope it works for you.

    HI,

I hear ya about the stains -- adds a whole new dimension to laundry. Here's what I do now...

    1) I strip them to their onesies to eat -- so that if they make a mess its on a white onesie that I can bleach. or I use a larger bib
    2) I use the prewash setting on my washer with two scoopfuls of "oxyclean" and let the clothes soak for 4 min.
    3) then I add detergent and run it through the full wash cycle.

For poopy blowouts -- I soak in a bucket of oxyclean and water and then place into the wash later that day or next day and the stains always come out.

My son may have a sensitivity to Oxyclean (since I've been using so much) so now I'm only using oxyclean during the prewash and then running the wash cycle without oxyclean (just detergent) to see if that stops his itchy-ness)

I get big boxes of Oxyclean at BJ's.

I have made it my challenge to ALWAYS get stains out! Thus far, I have been successful, with the hardest stain being carrots.
I use Dreft to wash all the baby clothes- which at this point, because of all the reflux issues, I wash separately. I tried the Kirkland, All free and clear, Tide- None of them clean the clothes the first time around as well as Dreft. It is more expensive, but worth it.
I also love Dreft spray- for stains. I keep a bottle where I put the twins' dirty clothes, and everything gets sprayed if it has the slightest stain when teh clothes come off in the evening. It dries, and is ready when I am ready to do the wash.
If it does not come out the first time, which normal things do- always breastmilk, formula, oatmeal, light marks, then I pour Clorox 2 directly on the stain, and it sits until I am ready to wash again. If I have a lot of bad stains (those darn carrots and sweet potatoes), then I will add Clorox 2 to the entire load of laundry. Borax works well, as does OxyClean. Normally, I add a scoop or two of each every few times I do the laundry.

I agree with others about oxyclean and shout being good stain removers. I have been successful getting some stains out that have already been dried by bombarding it with shout spray and/or soaking it in oxyclean. It is not always successful but does work sometimes...I think this will unfortunately been a life-long battle... <_<

This had worked for all of my set in, washed and dried many times, stains.

Spray area with Spray and Wash. Sprinkle with Oxyclean powder. Spray again with Spray n Wash. Scrub in. Soak overnight. Wash.

This is the absolute best thing I have found. Some stains were years old.

    Good luck!!

Ditto this stuff! I LOVE it and have used it many times on clothes that have already gone through the dryer. Just keep spraying the stuff on the stain for a few days and I swear it will come out!

We use an old lady method--There is a soap bar called Felds Naptha. You get that and get it wet (keep wrapper on the end you are holding I think it burns my skin) then rub it into the stain. Let it set for a couple of minutes and then add 1 scoop oxyclean to the laundry detergent. I've had some really tough stains that I had to do this to 2 or 3 times but it has always worked. The bar is only $1.29 but they don't sell it at Walmart I had to get it at an Associated Foods store.
