I've been feeding all regular Gerber food and making some of my own and I'm wondering if I should give the babies organic foods.

    Do you feed....

    Organic or regular formula?

    Organic or regular jar food?

    Organic or regular homemade food?

    Thanks!

    We feed:

    Breastmilk

Either jarred foods, organic or regular. We get organic mixes just to give them something new if the flavor is not the same as regular.

Table food that is not organic but is healthy.

We use Enfamil AR and Enfamil Gentlease. We use some Beechnut jarred, some organic (Earth's baby) and lots and lots of homemade baby food.

We only feed them organic food. I try to make it, otherwise I buy jars which are good.

They get Nestle Good Start and 95% of their jar food is organic. They also get whole organic fruits and veggies. I plan on feeding them as much organic as I can find.

I had a hard time deciding what to do about this too. I feed: regular formula, beechnut regular jarred baby food and regular oatmeal and rice cereal.

There was a story about organic baby food and whether or not it was worth it to spend the extra money on it on the Today Show a few months ago. The consensus was that it was NOT worth the extra money for organic baby food, formula, rice cereal...etc. But they did list the "dirty dozen" - the twelve fruits and vegetables that you should buy organic when feeding your children fresh food. Because some foods hold onto the pesticides used and some foods don't. They tested practically everything. I can't even remember what they were but I believe that potatoes and berries were in there. I am not feeding them fresh foods yet, so I will probably look it up when I start to do that. HOPE that helps!

    We feed:

    regular formula

organic baby food - when I can find it! It's surprisingly hard to find sometimes & the selection isn't very good

if I make something for them, I try to buy organic. I'm too scared by the e-coli stories in the news. They do eat off our plates, though, which usually isn't organic.

So, pretty much they get a mixture of both.

The recent e.coli scare with spinach was organic spinach...just because it's organic doesn't protect it from e.coli......just FYI....
