I just had another growth ultrasound and BPP. Everything went well, Baby A is still head down at 6.4lbs and Baby B is 6.10lbs and has just flipped to breech!!! She has been head down since I got pregnant and now has found room to flip!

That's just crazy!!! Otherwise, they passed their BPP with flying colors and are doing well otherwise. I'm a little worried about waiting another two weeks to deliver them because they seem a little big, but otherwise everything is good. My daughter was 9+ pounds, so I guess it's unrealistic of me to expect to have twins that are about the 6 pound range. 3 weeks ago they were about 4.5 pounds...that just seems like a big jump in weight to me!

I'm trying very hard not to panic!!!!

Leighanna (baby B ) flipped a week before I had them.....little stinker. :) I was also told that I was having 7lb + babies and they ended up being barely 6lbs, so your babies might be smaller then what the U/S says. Good luck, your getting close!

Brenden was always head donw, ready to come out. Landon was always flipping and when i was in the day before i had them at 36 weeks, Landon was head down beside his brother. When they pulled him out, they had to pull him from my ribs. He was laying across the top of my belly. I guess it just shows their personalities b/c now, brenden is more calm and landon is all over the place.

My oldest was over 9lbs and at 34 weeks my twins measured lower 6lbs range (6lbs1oz or something like that). I delivered them 4 weeks later, upper 7lbs range ... so it's possible!!! Baby A also head down, baby B breech but I had a vaginal delivery.

    Good luck!

Hi there, my good friend delivered her fraternal boy twins at 39.5 weeks with one head down and one breech......she delivered vaginally and did great. The head down baby was first to come out, then the breech baby. Just have an open discussion with your ob about your changing situation and what the best scenario is for you and the babies.

Hang in there, I am only 30 weeks today and have the wiggliest babies and will probably be asking you for later third trimester advice! :) Best wishes!

I think that you will do just fine delivering a breech baby B, especially since your first delivery was 9lbs. you've obviously have plenty of room. And I really wouldn't worry about your twins being huge. My twins put on very little weight their last 3-4 weeks. They didn't even gain a whole pound in those weeks. Twins tend to really slow down in size...and I wouldn't be surprised if they were born at exactly the sizes that you've been given right now. U/s after 35 weeks can really be off, especially when you've got 2 packed in there.

Thanks for all of your responses. I ultimately do want to deliver vaginally, but I'm just scared and I panicked because I didn't expect them to be the size they estimated today. My doctor is really experienced with delivering twins, so I'm going to talk to her more in depth about it tomorrow.

    thanks again!

    Kim,

Yours are measuring smaller than mine did, and I can assure you, after a 9lbs+ size baby (28 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, 4th degree and forceps) ... 7lbs11oz was a freakin breeze ... 5 pushes and she was out. So easy!!! Major difference!!!

    You're going to be fine!
