Ellie has some eczema and her skin is so dry and leathery. Almost scaly. Nothing is working to help it. I tried Aquaphor and Creamy Baby Oil. Does anyone know of any other treatments that work?

    Thanks!!!

I ended up getting a prescription from the Pedi in order to help with the Excema. You should give the pedi a call & see what they recommend :good:

I used Eucerin cream and alot of Vaseline at diaper changes. Worked well enough that we didnt need a prescription, but it was also a pretty mild case.

We still use Eucerin but they only have small patches. I would try the pediatrician as others have suggested. My nephew has a bad case and has a couple of creams from his doctor.

We bath every other night (and at 4 months, more like every 2 nights). Used Aveeno baby wash and aveeno lotion every night (lotion routine on non-bath nights too). Also used Aquaphor and Eucerin for spot treatments, sometimes multiple times a day. Fortunately, my one boy who had the problems hasn't had any patches for about 5 months now.

Suprisingly we have found Bordeaux's Butt Paste works wonders. I just slather up my DS's legs and back at night where he gets it and usually within a day or 2 it is gone. The Aquaphor and vaseline never helped us.

Our ped. wrote a rx for hydrocotisone cream mixed with eucerin cream. It works wonders. When there is a flare up I put some on and the next day it is gone.
