    Hey Gang,

Well at over 6 months of age, my little devils seem to be rolling themselves everywhere. I put them on their playmats and 15 minutes later they are half way across the room, just by rolling...over and over! My hubby and I were thinking of buying a little baby corral. I saw this one at Target called Superyard XT Play Gate by North States Industries for $60. It says it has 18 1/2 square feet of space. Is that big enough for 2 little ones? I don't have a lot of space in my house but I do have one open spot that might just be big enough for it. I would like something that folds easy for storage or travel. Any thoughts or ideas out there? I appreciate it much!! Thanks!

i have one and we take it everywhere. It's nice to know that they are not where they aren't supposed to be. I ordered mine through walmart... it was only $50.00.

I don't have one yet but I will certainly be getting one once my boys become mobile. I think they're wonderful. I can't wait to set it up in the backyard next summer and fill it with all kinds of fun toys and activities for them. I love the idea of them having enough space to really have fun but at the same time being protected from anything unsafe around the house or yard (stairs, etc.). Another twin mum on this board posted a pic of hers the other week and it looked great (the same kind you mentioned, I believe). You can put a cozy blanket down to make it soft under their bums.

I have one with one extension, and it provides a lot of room for them to play safely. I mostly use mine outside, but when I had it indoors, I used the square puzzle-like foam mats under it for something soft for them to play on.

I hard a superyard xt and it is awsome! We use it as a gate though instead of a playyard. We have this area is hard to put a gate in and with this yard we can keep them out.

We do have friends who's twins love the yard and stay inside happily playing. Ours don't like to be corralled in.

I think it depends on the family.

I just got mine last Friday- LOVE IT!!! Both boys are cruising now and they were going in two diff directions so I decided it was time to set up a space where they could be in the "middle" of things without keeping me hopping. I actually got to sit down and watch a movie w/ dh this weekend w/o constantly jumping up to chase the boys.- I think I will go back and get an extension kit like Becky said...you might want to see how it works out space wise before getting it.

    Totally recommend it

We have the Super Yard with the extension and it is great. My two take off in opposite directions as soon as they are down and keeping them in one place is great. We have it in the toy room (aka living room) so they can play with their brother. They get so excited when they know they are going in to play. Plus, I know they are safe.

We just bought the super yard and 1 extension after reading all the posts about it on here and seeing the one pic. (And the fact that 5 month old Matthew scootched his way over to the laptop cord that was 4 feet away from where I put him!) We plan on putting down the foam alpha puzzle pieces and a soft washable blanket - or 2 now that I think about it...just pick up one and the other is right there ready for action/spittle while the top one is washed. Sorry, we haven't put it up yet so I can't tell you about it.

I have looked into play yards for months and this one seems to be the best for us. I tried to find a PNP like yard that waas bigger than the typical PNP but nothing seemed large enough. The super yard seems like something we may be able to use for qie some time, hopefully. We were given a gift card and used it for the yard. It was very difficult for me to decide because ya just get tired of buying gear that getrs used infrequently, so the gift card made it a little easier. I do think however that I would have gotten this yard anyway. I just get crazy with all the research I NEED to do before I purchase anything.

I am having the research problem getting/ slecting a monitor........new post there.

    Good luck with your choice.

We have TWO!! We have them used like a long gate in out living room (so they can't get near the fire place or the stairs) We love ours, i have also hung pull toys and baby toys on our gate so they are like a wall of FUN. We have one for there nursery also. so they can play while i change sheets, put away there laundry, etc. we are also going to the beach on friday and will take it with us and also on vacation with us when we go in september.
Here is a picture of our gate in the livingroom with the toys!! Ours love it!!

We have/had a superyard. Personally, I was never thrilled with kiddie prisons but I got it so they could practice cruising and have a softer landing spot (I put the foam mats underneath of the yard.) We used it for two months and I found the babies hated being confined. SO now I use it only when I have to leave the room. I took out the extention but I will keep it for the Christmas tree. ```

Hey thanks girls!!! I totally appreciate your input. :yahoo: Thanks to Mothership for telling me about it at Walmart...it's $10 cheaper than Target AND I can get it shipped to my walmart for free! Awesome. And thanks to Hot2Trottt4u for the picture ( I have that same mirror - isn't it great? Mine love theirs!). That is a great idea to hang toys from it, mine will love that. They always reach for toys. Well I think I will order that today then. Mine don't seem to mind being in a confined space and from what ya'll have told me, it is pretty big. I'll wait before getting the extension just to see how it will work. Thanks again, I was on the fence on this one but I have fallen over to the YES side now!

we actually used ours to close off our living room (it worked for a good 4 months or so) since we have a big wide archway that a conventional gate wouldn't fit...we also padded the ENTIRE living room with foam pads that worked for 6 months to protect their little noggins....now that they are walking well we pulled up the pads and had to get rid of the gate (they were no longer content in just the living room)....
