How much baby clothes do I need for each one - my twins are boy/girl so not a lot of sharing going on ;) Right now I am going with the assumption (prayers) that they will be delivered at 36ish weeks and be 5lbs when they are born.

    How may newborn outfits/pjs?

    How many 0-3 outfits/pjs?

I'm glad you asked! I am in the same boat (boy/girl twins) and was wondering the same thing. :)

Well I have two boys...but they don't share (they each have their own outfits) For newborn all you really need are about 5-10 sleepers each, 10 onesies each, and a couple of cute outfits for going out. They grow out of newborn pretty fast. 0-3 months the same. It really depends on how often you leave the house (which the first few months is usually rare. My boys lived in their sleepers. I had tons of other clothes but the zip up sleepers are so much easier for the frequent diaper changes. It also depends on how much you do laundry.

I agree with the pp comment about laundry. I went overboard & bought way too much. I am a laundry freak and have a baby basket that gets put in the washer directly after they have a bath. They get a bath every other day, so I do about 3 loads a week. When they are tiny, I liked the zip up outfits, too. Onesies are good for diaper changes as well.

It depends on how fast your babies grow. We stayed in preemie for a long time despite being 6 lbs at birth, then NB for only a couple months then 0-3 months for what seemed like an eternity but was really only until about 5 months old. We also did not have to change outfits several times during the day. We would only have to change once if at all cause I'm a freak about bibs and burpies and staying clean. My advice would be to buy a 4-6 onsies and/or the same number of zip up sleepers or gowns each and have your mom or DH pick up more for you (or internet shop, woohoo!) if you find you need more. And I agree with the PPs that the zip up sleepers rock. They make things so much easier. I loved them and my singleton is still rocking them at night at 17 months old.
