Several of my friends have been raving about the "get ready for baby" type classes but I am on modified bedrest. I can go out sometimes but just don't see myself mustering up the energy to attend a class. So, I am wondering if there are any videos online that I could check out. Does anyone know of such resources? Otherwise, what have you done to get ready for the twins?

    I would check out www.marvelousmultiples.com
I spoke with the woman in my area and she said if my peri did not feel I could attend the class she would come to my home and do the abridged class version for me. My peri thinks I can do it and it is at the hosp where I will deliver so I have pemission to go this Sun. I'm nervous, it will be my longest outing since mid October!!

I found something online that would send you videos, but I never did do it. Ours were in the NICU for 5 and 6 weeks and the nurses taught my DH well! I had lots of baby experience with nieces and younger siblings, so I felt pretty comfortable.

Thanks ladies! I will check out the website and it's good to know that we will get hands on training when (or if but most likely when!) we end up in the NICU.

Sometimes the people who teach the group classes will also offer private classes in your home -- if you can find out their names/numbers, you can call and ask! We had a nurse come and give us a class last week, and it was pretty useful. Mr. Cardinal learned a lot!

Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone else goes looking for this same information. The local marvelous multiples instructor would not give an in home class. She offered to send me the book the class was based on but I never received it. So, I went looking for a DVD that might cover what we needed to know and found one on amazon.com called "Laugh and Learn About Childbirth". It was very good and I actually got Dh to watch it with me (he liked it too). Although the instructor was a twin mom, she did not cover multiples but it still answered a lot of our questions so I think it was worth the time and money. Here is a link to it: http://www.amazon.com/Laugh-Learn-About-Ch...6585&sr=8-1
