Baby Books...

I was just thinking that I really should put "something" in those lovely baby books I got for the twins before I start forgetting stuff.

I don't know what I was thinking buying baby books...I should have known I wouldn't get to them that much, afterall, I did ok on my first child's...but it is still incomplete and she's almost 4.

I definitely don't want the twins to look back some day and think that their Mommy didn't care. But ya know what, they probably won't appreciate how crazy things were until they have children of their own.

I suppose I should spend more "spare" time filling the book in...a least a little

 

I haven't done baby books either. But my mom has made them for the girls. I'm just not a crafty person.

 

I hear ya! So far I've just got Brandon's full name written on the inside of his baby book...and that's as far as I've gotten. Colin's is still in new condition :blush: I have jotted a few milestones down in the 2009 calendar we had hanging in the kitchen, so that some day I can actually write that info down in their baby books. Not sure when that will happen though! And we really need to get a 2010 calendar because there has already been a couple of things to happen that I haven't written down anywhere, like when Colin "log rolled" off their play mat two days ago. That was the first time he has ever rolled over more than one time.

Anyway, glad I'm not alone. I've been too ashamed to tell family or anybody that their baby books are blank so far!

 

With my daughter (who is 5) I never even got around to it! When you are in the thick of things you are lucky to just get your teeth brushed before supper!! lol Nevermind do something that requires free time to think and reflect!

Instead of getting a baby book done I will probably request a medal or something.

 

Luke & Lila's books aren't done yet, either. And now I'm starting to forget when they did things. Maybe I should just make something up?! :laughing: I just haven't found time to sit down & fill them in!

 

I made a baby scrapbook for each of the girls while I was pregnant, leaving spaces to put pictures. I was assuming I wouldn't remember or have time to write down all of the facts!

 

I made DH sit down with me & fill what we could in when I was pregnant. Now they are sitting on our mantles & I add to them when they reach milestones. I haven't added pics to them- even the cover has a spot for pics & it is blank. I figure that's something that can wait. All our pics are digital, anyway.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I didn't even buy baby books. I intended to, but just never got to it and it's been stressing me out. I have been hastily writing down milestones (if I remember) on their feeding log thinking that I'll make a nice scrapbook or baby book sometime soon. HA! Oh well, their photo blog online will have to suffice for now. I doubt they'll be damaged if they don't have a baby book. DH has a baby book and he couldn't give a rat's patootie about it. Might be a guy thing though. I didn't have one and I turned out okay...well, almost okay. :wacko:

 

I, finally at 21 months put pictures in the frames above their cribs!! oh boy. the books are not made, I have a grand thought of nice scrapbooked "baby books"... but did buy some cheapy books to just fill in stuff... I haven't even filled in much in those, but I do have the teeth charts filled in. at least I feel I've gotten something done on them! ugh!
