Just got a call from my doctor and Baby B is in the 8th percentile. (had an ultrasound on Friday). I am 32 weeks. They want to do a non stress test and refer me to a high risk doc. anyone else in this boat???

Hi Sarah, sorry about baby B troubles. :hug99: But it sounds like they want to keep a close eye on it. I saw a Peri throughout my entire pregnancy and lots of women do, as well as their OB. Please keep us posted.

I'm crossing my fingers for you that it is nothing serious. I'm sure all will be fine because they are already on top of things and giving you the extra monitoring you need. Hang tough.

I had this happen after one of my u/s's with one of my boys. By the next u/s he measured normally again...so they are not sure if it was a measurement error or if he just caught up. I am glad they are keeping a close eye on you.

Sarah, :hug99: I'm sorry too that baby B is having troubles. I'm keeping B in my prayers hoping everything will turn out fine. I'm happy your doctor is sending you to a Peri. I saw one throughout my pregnancy, and they were much more accurate with their u/s. Good luck and let us know what happens. :hug99:

My baby B is below the 10th percentile and has been for quite some time. I've been monitored more closely and have ultrasounds every 2 weeks to monitor her growth and blood flow through the umbilical cord. I was told by my doctor that as long as she is gaining on a consistent basis than there is nothing to worry about. Are yours identical or fraternal? Mine are fraternal so there is no way Baby A is stealing all the food, although he is in the 75th percentile, so he's huge!!

I think as long as Baby B is gaining consistently its nothing to worry about. (easier said then done, because I still worry all the time)

I too saw at Peri throughout my pregnancy. It was kinda nice to see 2 Drs all the time.

I don't know what percentile my smaller baby is but we are watching growth disparity. At my 32 week scan, Baby A was 3lbs. 5 oz. 2 weeks behind. Baby B was 4lbs. 12 oz one week ahead. They checked the umbilical cord flow and felt it was okay. Since A had grown a little since the last growth scan they decided to watch it. Now I have Pre-eclampsia though so they are watching even more closely. I'll have a growth scan in a week, I'll be 34 weeks 5 days. My OB (who is a Peri) will decide then if the growth difference is still cause for concern and if so, I'll deliver the next day.

At least your docs are being proactive to keep monitoring the babies. Hang in there, and it is surprising how much they can grow in a couple of week's time. Also, try resting more, making sure you are not malnourished yourself, eat lots of protein and drink some of the Ensure or Boost shakes a few times a day. . . that's what I would do anyways.

I hope you get some answers and Baby B packs on the ounces soon!

My babies are identical and have TTTS issues. . . the smallest baby has been as low as 21st percentile but is now 32nd percentile. (My larger baby is up to 83rd percentile now.) There have been weeks when the smaller one put on more weight than the larger one. Hang in there, and don't give up!

First I just want to say that you've made it to 32 weeks which is a HUGE deal, so congratulations and good job! Your babies, even the smaller one, are at least twice the size of mine when they were born. And you exceeded two great milestones ~ 28 weeks and 32 weeks, and the next milestone is at 34 weeks is just around the corner. Plus your high risk doc will be able to tell you so much more than you know now which will help you keep things in perspective.

I don't know about percentiles but I delivered my boys early due to Baby B troubles with IUGR and endo-diastolic blood flow at 28 weeks 6 days. We saw both my regular OB and a Peri-MFM since the beginning and started being monitored via doplar ultrasound every three days until I was admitted for 24 hour monitoring at 26 weeks. The boys are doing really well in the NICU and growing bigger every day.

Sadly this sounds like a frequent problem for lots of moms, in particular for moms of multiples. The ladies here are all a wealth of information and wonderful listeners. Let us know if you have questions or just need to vent or panic. We're here for you!

So I had the non stress test last night and babies did well, except I was apparhently having contractions (I could not feel them and had no clue). They kept me for three hours then said I needed bedrest!! I had to see the specialist this morning and they did another ultrasound and baby B is 32%tile and baby A is in the 40's!!! My cervex was closed and that doc said I seemed fine, except still having contractions. I went to work anyway today. I really need the money. Still havent heard from my regular doc...

Wow, that's a huge difference in percentiles. I'm glad you went to a specialist and they were able to measure baby B a bit more accurately. Hope the contractions give up and you remain closed. I undestand about needing to work. Take it easy!

I was put on bed rest last week after an u/s indicated that baby B (ID girls) is at the 6th percentile while A is at the 41st percentile. I was 30 weeks at the u/s. Was admitted to hospital for steroid shots and non stress tests. Went in today for u/s to check fluids and blood flow and another set of fetal non stress tests. All looked well, but didn't see the doctor today. Last time I spoke with her she was talking about scheduling a c section in the next 1-2 weeks. So, yes, I'm in the same boat and looking for others as well. I am resting away and consuming lots of protein! I'm going back in on Monday for more testing and to speak to my specialist.
