Baby Andrew is here

Hi ladies, this will be rather short but I will post all the details of the birth later today. October 15th, the cerclage was removed and we were induced at 6:30am, 1-2cm right off the bat, 70-80% effaced, -2 station. We thought well this might go fast. 4 hours later, 2cm, 2 hours after that 3cm, they broke my water at about 5:30 I was almost 4cm, it took this dr. 5 minutes, the bag just didn't want to break. I had the epidural and waited, a few hours later still 4cm, a few hours after that 5cm, anyways it took forever to get to 9cm, off and on I had oxygen and they moved me b/c of the baby's decelerations also I had a temp of 99, at about 4am. we started pushing my temp was 100.7, I was pushing good they say but the baby wasn't moving he was originally at 0 station then went back to -1. He began to have decelerations then accelerations during contrax and pushing, they took my temp it was 102.7. One of the dr. wanted me to keep pushing and try another 2 hours, the other said we needed to move b/c the baby was under stress, I of course was panicked and said I wasnt the -section I don't want anything to happen to the baby, by then the other dr agreed and we were off for the emergency c-sec. He was born at 5:41am 5lbs, 15oz. perfect in everyway, apgars were 9/9. no breathing assistance, no intervention at all, he had the faintest cry then reved those lungs up. they sent him to the newborn intermediate unit, less than the nicu, but not well baby b/c they started us both on antibiotics b/c of the risk of infection that they thought I had b/c of the fever and my water being broken for so long and all the foreign bodies in me, ie uterine monitoring, anyways I will include some pics. He was in the unit until monday and was discharged in teh afternoon, I was sent home sunday afternoon. He is doing well and is feisty to say the least. When I have a chance I'll update everyone. Thank all of you ladies that have encouraged me through this pregnancy and I am so happy to have you in my life.
