    Hi ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well. I had doctor's appointments yesterday with my specialist and my regular OB. The ultrasound measurements are estimating the babies to be about 8 1/2 pounds each! I'm also dilating and contracting a lot, and since I have to have a c-section (baby boy is breech), they went ahead and scheduled my c-section for this Friday. I'll be 38 1/2 weeks. I'm kind of freaked out b/c my first 2 children were born vaginally, and the recoveries for both were so easy!! I'm nervous about whether or not the c-section will make my milk come in slower, or if it will be difficult to nurse (especially 2!) while recovering. I'm so happy that I'll finally get to meet the babies, but I'm also bummed that I can't deliver them vaginally. Please send positive thoughts my way that my little boy will flip again by Friday so I can have a vaginal delivery!

    Thanks, and take care, everyone!

Wowzers, those are some good sized babies!! :)

Don't stress too much about the c-section, I had one with my twins after having a vaginal with my older DS - and while it wasn't what I'd call fun, it wasn't horrible either. Don't go too long between your medication for pain relief, I noticed I felt much better if I remembered to take it BEFORE I was in pain!

I didn't notice a significant difference in when my milk came in with the c-section vs vaginal - but I have heard some people say that it took longer for their milk to come in after a c-section. I had a wonderful nurse who brought me a Medela Symphony pump just a few hours after my c-section and said I should start pumping to get things going and build a good supply for nursing two. I loved my Symphony! You should visit the breastfeeding forum here on TS - there are a lot of really great, supportive women on there!

Good luck - and make sure you post your birth story when you get a chance! :)

HOLY SMOKES!!! Those are some big babies...I am not sure I would be too upset about a c/s with those numbers coming at me...... Just kidding, I will be praying for your little guy to flip so you can have the experience you are looking for.

I look forward to reading your birth story and seeing some pictures of your new little ones. ;) Take care and rest up!

I've asked about the whole flipping thing and MANY women said that they had babies flip at the very last minute...
Have you tried walking to see if you can go into labor naturally (for your milk production)? I wouldn't worry too much also about having to have a C-sectionl I was and after reading more about them, it doesn't sound bad. Good luck!
