My boys both weigh around 10 lbs now and sometimes they eat 5oz or less, but for their nighttime feeding they will take between 8 and 10oz. I was just wondering if anyone knows how much they should be eating at each feeding based on their weight. If not, how much do your babies weigh and how much do they usually eat at each feeding?

I bf but pump about once during the night for my ds and my dh gives him the ebm in a bottle. I pump about 4-4.5 oz and it seems to satisfy him. He weighs about 12 lbs.

Wow you have some good eaters...I think at about your babies age mine were eating 2 and 3 oz at a time. Even now at 7 months, 14 and 18 lbs they eat 4 and 5 oz at a time

My pedi told us that they should be eating 2.5 oz per pound of body weight total each day.

My twins eat about 30 oz per 24 hours. They're over 9 pounds (my ds was 9lbs3oz yesterday and his sister is definitely heavier). They usually have 4 oz feedings every 3 hours, less frequently during the night, but then they eat 5 oz. I am used to big eaters ... my oldest dd was the same. Finishing 3 oz bottles in her first week of life.

My boys are 4 months + 5days so they are a little older than yours. They eat around 7oz each about every 4 hours during the day and sleep from 10pm to 7ish am (I give them cereal, about 3oz, just before the last bottle.) They weighed in at Z=15-1 and J=15-2 on Wednesday. If they are gaining weight and the ped is happy they are probably eating fine. At 3 months they were eating the same 7oz per 4hrs but they were still waking at night for a feeding.
