BABIES TOMORROW!

I get to have my BABIES TOMORROW! Matt and Shane will finally be in my arms, and I won't have to be *PREGNANT* anymore! Don't get me wrong, it is a miracle to give birth, but the baking phase stinks! My legs are terribly swollen, my belly hurts, I get 20 new stretch marks every day, I can't sleep and my emotions are all over the place. I'll be looking forward to just caring for my boys and going back to being an able bodied mother again!!!

Amazingly, DH will get to be there. He is in flight school for the Army, but his commander let him extend his leave two days to be here for the birth. I'm sooooooo excited - even in spite of the fact that we're probably going to end up divorced after all of this. For those of you who haven't been following my story - he's got a mean case of PTSD and just can't be there for his family right now. I'm not sure if he ever will be again. He's got every symptom in the book - I'm amazed he's made it this far in flight school. On top of that, a TON of family drama and financial issues are plaguing us, but I'm hanging in there. I'm living in my parent's basement for awhile, at least a few months after the babies are born... and then I'm not sure what I'll do. But, I'm trying to be optimistic and focused. Mostly, I'm trying to be strong for my children and leaning on my faith in God to get me through this difficult time.

Please pray for me. It's going to be a very difficult day. But, I'm so thankful that I've been able to get these boys to 38 WEEKS!!!!

Hi there, I have followed your story.........YOU are an amazing person Your boys are so blessed to have a Mommy who has a strong sense of self and faith.

I will be thinking of you and your big day tomorrow. We all have a story and something that has helped me in very stressful times is that God does not give you more than you can handle.

Your optimism and faith are an inspiration. And you hit 38 weeks??? wow, that is impressive, great job on growing your babies big and strong!

I am sorry that you are experiencing so many problems in this exciting time. Just remember that through it all God never gives you more than you can handle. Believe me this seems inaccurate at times, but it is true. You are stronger than you think and so is your DH. Just focus on those babies and work on the rest as it comes. good luck tomorrow, I am so jealous.

 

i really feel for you during this time, and i hope everything works out for you. I am glad your faith is strong, as pp said god never gives you more than you can handle, and i belive twins are given to special people so hang in there it will work out.

as for tomorrow,,, GOOD LUCK and congrats on getting so far, you are an inspriatin to us all.

I am glad that your husband will be able to bond with his children, and that you have a big heart and let him.
It is good that you are realistic about PTSD. It is no use to be hurt with no end. At least he can be a father to
his childrens as good as his illness allows him.

As for you, I am sure you will be lucky. You are young, strong and beautiful. You have a loving family.

Congratulations and that is a great picture of you!! I am impressed with all you and your DH has been through you are both able to put it aside and be there for each other. PTSD is a horrible thing and it takes so long to recover and is especially hard on the family. I am in awe of your strength to get through this and who knows what will happen in the future. Gorgeous picture!! Great job keeping those babies in, in spite of all the stress you've gone through. I'd love to hope for your sake and your boys that your dh gets some help and gets this PTSD under control. It's hard enough to realize all the sacrifices of lives going on, but I don't think many people realize all the casualties of war that go well beyond the loss of physical life. I hope that your dh gets the help he needs for himself and for all of you. And that in the meantime your family is supportive of you and the boys.

Congratulations on carrying your babies this far! I have found that if I rely on people they will eventually let me down, if I rely completely on God he NEVER lets me down! Congratulations! I have been following your story with your husband and I feel both happy and sad for you... I am so glad that you will have your babies and that he will be a part of their birth. Perhaps this will help him in his recovery and maybe it will bring his focus back to family. I hope that you will all find the happiness that you deserve regardless of if that means that you are together or not. You and your children deserve happiness.

As a new twin mom I can tell you that it is a rocky road at the beginning. I am working on keeping my head above water, but I trust that it can be done! Join the first year forum as well... I haven't posted much, but have done lots of reading and it has helped a lot!
