Is there a rule about babies sharing a bottle? Like, if one only takes 2 oz from a 4 oz bottle, can I give the remaining 2 oz to the other twin?

I never had my two share a bottle and I don't like them sharing a sippy cup, if I can help it they don't, but sometimes now they take the others cup and run.

But I know many people did have their twins share a bottle. I have a friend who brings one cup to playgroup for her 21 month old twins to share.

There are no rules, do what is best for you. :)

unless one is sick then I don't think it really matters. I tried not to do it, but if one had finished their bottle and would be wanting more and one left theirs , then yes I would give it to the other one.

I used to try to stop them switching sippie cups too, but then I gave up, it became a game when they were young haha

I always make separate bottles for the twins, however if there is any left and the other wants it, I'm not opposed to them drinking it unless one is sick. Soon as the twins started getting mobile, they were taking pacifiers out of each other's mouths. They suck on the same toys and I'm sure they will drink out of each other's cups if they have the chance. I do feed them solids at the same time with the same spoon so what's the point I guess? It's completely your preference!

Share and share alike, I say! My babies live/play/eat/sleep in such close quarters (even sucking each other's hands) that I don't see the harm in them sharing bottles, cups and spoons as well.

[SIZE=10pt]I don't mind them sharing. We always make two seperate bottles ~ however there are times that one is still a lil hungry and the other didn't finish. We 'share' the bottle then. They suck on each others hands all the time, as well as each others toys. If DD took a pacifier I'm sure they'd be sharing those too.

Whatever works for you and your lil ones is the way to go!

Whenever we give bottles, they can definitely share. They're sharing my boobs all day, and drooling and munching all over the same toys - I figure they're as exposed to each other as it can get!

Exactly, I was never upset if they shared.
