Babies only wore sleepers for the first 4mnths of their lives

I just recently started putting my babies in something other than sleepers, now they wear cute jeans, tops, shorts, dresses etc. But for the first 4months of their lives I didn't have the time or energy to put real clothes on them, so all they wore were sleepers. At night, I would change them out of their daytime sleeper and put them in their pjs which really was just another sleeper!
Am I the only lazy one out there? Unfortunately now when I look back nearly all of my pictures of the babies are in sleepers. But, honestly during those first 4mnths I was just trying to survive and fighting with a baby to put an actual outfit on them was not high on my priority list....

We wore a lot of sleepers and onesies early on, too. Hey - you do what works for you so you can get through, and try to enjoy at least some of those first few months.

    I did it too!

They only got out of sleepers if we were going someplace "fancy". Grandma's house, or when we had to go into some big hospitals to see specialists. And even then, sometimes they just got cuter sleepers.

Glad I'm not the only one. I sort of miss just having them in sleepers - it was easier.

Mine only wore sleepers too...until they were about 3 months adjusted...so really 5 months old! And I don't think I would have bothered to dress them then, except that my mom came to visit for a week and bought them some really cute clothes. So we started to dress them each morning and then when she left I just kept up with it. I was so glad that I did...it was something really fun for me to do with them each morning.

You are definitely not alone on this one!

I wouldn't call that lazy at all! That's just what you did at the time, no big deal.

There were many times I would have preferred for my girls to be in just sleepers, but my family bought them gazillions of outfits, so I felt like they had to be used.

We did this at first too. There's nothing wrong with doing what you have to do when you're in survival mode! Sounds like you did great.

Ummmm, mine wore sleepers all day every day for almost 8 months (with the occasional dress up days for holidays). I just thought they were more comfortable for them and easier for me to dress them in and cheaper to replace when they got food or spit up all over them. I was just looking at their picture with Santa this past Christmas (7 months) and they had Christmas sleepers on  .

We did sleepers too until about 4/5 months.

Honestly, I still haven't started dressing them unless we go out! Now that it's so warm, they just play all day in their diapers!! DH looks at all the pictures I have of them lately and laughs. They are seriously only dressed in about 10 of the last 100 pictures. I'm not joking!

Hey, whatever works. And now that they eat and make such a huge mess with solids, I'm saving myself tons of laundry!

When my girls were first born they always wore sleepers too! IMO that is what looks cutest on little tiny babies. I think that adult clothes in miniature sizes looks goofy when they are newborns, but that's JMO. Now that mine are mobile their usual outfit is a bubble, but to this day I still prefer clothes that are specific for babies (like bubbles) instead of miniature adult clothes (like jeans).

Yep! I wasn't one to change them all the time and certainly not into any 'cute' outfit! LOL It never even occured to me. I am trying to be more conscious of it this time around with only one, but if we're not going out.. he's in a sleeper all day.

With Josh and Abbi (when they finally came home) the real sleepers were put on for bed and then a sleeper/outfit type thing was put on during the day but since they could wear it to bed too, I would consider that lazy. lol! I didn't want to worry bout the 2 pc outfits and the socks and all that either.

OMG no!!! My girls were in sleepers a lot longer than that!! From birth til this summer....so most of fall, winter and spring. It was just a lot easier, and I knew they were warm and comfy. Plus I had a ton of them. I didn't have to worry about socks, and changing diapers was easier. Now they wear cute summer outfits, but also at times just onsies...especially if it is hot and we are not going anywhere.

We dressed them in sleepers until they went to daycare.

The first 2 months, it was all sleepers unless we went somewhere. After that, I tried to have them in outfits, just so they'd wear the cute little things before they outgrew them! Now, that was just my plan ;) . DH stayed home with the girls for their first 15 months. I'd come home many times to hear about where they'd gone with daddy during the day (he was running his business from home) and they'd be still in their pajamas. His defense was that their outfits and their pajamas pretty much looked the same.

I'm lazier than that! :) Mine wear onesies unless we go out. Sometimes they wear a onesie for 2 days if it stays clean! Since we swaddle, I have not used ANY of my millions of sleepers or gowns. I see no point right now of changing them into that just for sleeping- plus it is too hot to swaddle and have a sleeper on.

Mine wear onesies pretty much all the time at 4 1/2 mo old and always have. I don't think it's lazy. It's just what's easiest. I put shorts or pants over them if we're going somewhere very air conditioned. Plus, the few times they've been dressed up in their "cute" clothes (Personally, I think they look cute in their onesies.) they have spit up/thrown up all over them. We live in a very hot climate, and I think they get overheated in overalls/jeans/etc.

I do occasionally dress them up in their "outfits" to shoot a few pics to send to the grandparents (or whomever gave us the cute outfit); but day to day, I love my little ragamuffin boys!!!

Also--they always dine in diapers and bibs only--helps cut down on the laundry.

I guess I'm super lazy as mine stayed in a sleeper for 24 hours unless it got spit up on beyond salvage. Every morning we changed diaper, sleeper and got a bottle. We started dressing them around 4 months when we started taking them places - right before they started daycare.

My girls lived in sleepers or onesies (depending on weather) until they were nearly a year old and walking. It was just practical since they were lying around all day anywhere. As my DH said "If I could wear footy sleepers all day I would!"
