babies dropping before labor

I hadn't ever thought about this and since I was induced w/ my DD I don't have any experience....

When and if the babies drop before labor, do both of them drop or only one? I'm 36 weeks today and have had a lot more pressure/discomfort down low today, but it seems like someone is still hanging out under my ribs. I guess it seems a little difficult for both of them to drop at the same time, but I always figured that I wouldn't feel anyone high anymore...

Just curious.

 

It probably feels like they are hanging under your ribs because they still are--there's two!! I definitely could feel it when the babies dropped and I was still getting kicked in the ribs ddaily. I, just like you, felt alot of pressure in my pelvic region when they dropped especially since both babies were head down. I also felt as though I was carrying them different. Can't really explain it, but it's just a different feeling than with the beginning of the pregnancy.

 

my twins never dropped that I could tell. I did have extreme vaginal pressure toward the end so maybe they did but there was so much baby packed in there that I still could not breathe and I was still feeling them all over the place!

 

i could never feel my babies drop. Although it always felt like one was super low the entire time!

 

Well, I don't know if that's what it was or not. This morning I woke up and they were right back to their normal positions, but now again this afternoon they feel really low again. I'm guessing I must have overreacted I just hadn't ever thought about it before with twins.
