    My c-section was scheduled for Friday, Jan 25th. I waited until the absolute last minute to have a baby shower, which was Sunday the 20th. Afterwards, I was sitting down talking to my mother and my water began to break. I wasn't quite sure if it was my water or not or if the babies were just really on my bladder, because I was running to the bathroom quite frequently. I ended up falling asleep and the contractions started but I thought maybe it was braxton hicks so I didn't get up. Eventually the pain woke me up and I still couldn't quite beleive that I was in labor. Once I began to lose some of the mucus plug, I was convinced, so off to the hospital we went at 4am. Since I was so severly anemic, they couldn't just do the c-section, they had to get extra units of blood because they expalined that I would need a transfusion. After enduring those horrible horrible contractions (with no medication) they wheeled me into the OR for my c-section. Then they informed me that I would be put under general anesthesia due to the transfusion, so I could not have my husband in there with me, and I missed their births, but it all turned out well.
    Kimora Madison was born at 7:16am weighing 5lbs 8oz and Christopher Shakur was born at 7:18am weighing 5lbs 1oz. Niether baby required any NICU time and we were released on that Friday.

    Congratulations on your healthy babies!! That sounds like a scary birthing experience but you sound like a strong woman :)
