I was a nanny for four years for boy girl twins, I have a total of 6 friends with boy girl twins, and I have three sets of b/g twins in my program at school . In all of our kids the girl is the dominate child and the boy is more sensitive and passive. I can kind of see that type of personality coming through with my babies and I am just curious to know what kind of personalities your babies have.

Definitely the way Maeve and Finn are too. We have this great picture of Maeve on top of Finn with a huge smile on her face. She is pulling up and crawling and knocks him down all the time. He just sits there and takes it!

Funny thread -- thought it was just the personalities of our little peanuts.

Mine were like this the first 2 months and then switched. Now my DD is the most demanding whereas my son is just laid back and goofy!

If I new how to quote I would quote the last two posts - exactly the same. My boy was such a grump and fussy until 2 months and little girl just wanted to eat and sleep, now she totally dominates and is a little wild thing and he is more passive and laid back. Too funny!!!

This is too funny! I asked my DH his opinion as well and both of us agree, Sophia is more active, high strung, and dominant. Luke is laid back, lets her do her thing. My Dad calls Luke either "Chill" and "Cool Hand Luke."

Thats so funny! Mine are exactly the same. My girl is so much more dominant, not to mention a whole lot louder, and my boy is really laid back (4 and a half months old).

Yup I am definintely seeing a trend here! DS is laid back and goes with the flow most days, and DD is more impatient and likes to scream and cry if things don't go her way!

My babies' personalities switch from time to time. In the beginning, DS was more needy during the day, but DD was incredibly needy at night and usually had to sleep in my arms. DS has always cried much louder (and shriller- uggh) and is much fussier when tired. He is constantly crawling all over his sister, but I'd say she is more active overall. He is my super smiley boy, while she is more contemplative. They both love to steal binkies out of each others' mouths. It's hard to say who is more dominant right now, but I love reading others' responses.

I must have the odd balls. DS has always been more needy and demanding from day one. He masks it now with constant smiles but when he wants it he wants it ten minutes ago. On the other hand DD is quite and laid back.IF she cries she gives it her all but it has to be something major for her to cry.

Hmm, I don't know how to categorize mine. DD is definitely more fussy and interactive, but DS is so physically active it's hard to call her the "dominant" one. She'll never catch him to dominate him. And although he's very happy 98% of the time, when he's upset, he is MAD.

My DD is a very easy baby, but she is very dominating. She is the one who takes away her brother's toys or is getting into something she shouldn't....she is going to be bossy, I can tell already. My DS is the biggest mama's boy. He would be content to just be held all day long, he cries very easily and is so sensitive. Their personalities are SO different.

I always say if my daughter was an only child she would always be on someone's arm :)
She is my delicate princess who when she cried looks makes this pouch face and makes you feel so sorry for her...
When you are holding her, she looks at you to make sure you don't let go and with a face
like "why wouldn't you hold me I'm so cute"- definetly higher maintenance
When my son cries he sound like a cat :) he just gets mad and makes me laugh :)
When he cries I know there is something wrong/ hungry, hot, gas... when she cries sometimes
she just wants to be held.
It is amazing to see their differences in personalities this young.
This is one of the reasons I LOVE being a mother of twins :)

Molly is our drama queen and Owen is laid back. He tolerates her crying and just looks at her sometimes like "Chill out, girl".

Same here, I can tell my dd is going to be the one who dominates...talks for my ds...etc...My doctor said this is how most of her b/g twins are!

Definitely the same for me...though I have to admit that my DS finds ways to get back at his sister for all the toy-stealing and other terror she inflicts....he's patient and sweet, but DEVIOUS!

How funny!! My dd is a very easy baby, but she is definitely the dominant one. She always takes Logan's toys and his paci right out of his mouth!! He doesn't seem to care so far and just lets her do what she wants. My DS is definitely more sensitive and cries more easily, but I am happy to say he seems to be getting a bit "tougher" with age. :)

My DD was an angel baby for the first month. We didn´t realise we had her in the house. DS was a nightmare for the first 6 weeks. Then they both changed round: DD turned into a nightmare and DS calmed down. DD is highly sensitive. She screams blue murder when we have visitors over that she doesn´t know. On Friday she cried for 2 hours when friends popped round. We took her to another room as soon as she started getting upset but she got herself so worked up that she wouldn´t calm down! DS is more laid-back and social. He smiles and interacts with anyone. When he´s tired or bored, however, he´s high maintenance. Saying this, I think DD will be the more dominant one though. We´ll see...!

DD is definitely the demanding one. DS is calmer, but more physically active. It's funny when DD starts wailing, it will usually put DS to sleep.

My daughter was the laid back one and my son was very fussy for the first 2 months, now it is just the opposite. Gabe is so happy and calm and Sarah is very high maintenance. We call them the "angel baby" and the "diva baby"....:)

Mine are pretty much like this. But he has a bit of a temper. He is always so pleased to see her and affectionately smacks her and scrunches her, he somehow always makes her laugh, she giggles her head off, it's all very adorable. lol
