Originally, I thought crib tent, then convert to toddler bed, convert to twin size beds.

now i'm wondering if/when i could put them in bed together (like a twin or a full size). syd has such a hard time sleeping. maybe she'd sleep better cuddled up to her sis? Am I crazy for considering this so early?

we did a crib tent for Jon--Marc didn't need it. They were in cribs until 2 years 5 months, then twin beds, which they are still in.

We just moved to toddler beds a month ago. Not sure when we will move them up to the twin beds, probably when their little brother is ready for the race car bed.

My climber has a crib tent. I am going to keep them in the cribs as long as I can, then I think I'm going to move them straight to twin beds with rails. We don't have convertible cribs.

Connor just started trying to climb into his crib so it's just a matter of time before he climbs out. I'm going to be putting them in Toddler beds soon after they turn 2. I haven't even thought of twin beds yet...

What do the crib tents look like? I've never even seen them in Ontario...

Mine are still in cribs with a crib tent. They sleep very well and nap very well. I am going to move them to twin beds in the spring when they are closer to 3 1/2! My friend did it around this age with her daughter and had a seamless transition. She was old enough to be very excited about her big girl bed. So I am holding off for a while longer yet!

My girls had crib tents until they were about 27/28mths old when I switched them to their own twin beds. I did have bed rails on for a little while but took them off because they would play with them. For my son I just stuck the crib tent on his crib (15mths old) and plan on keeping that on his crib until atleast 2yrs if not older since I don't think he will listen that well to stay in your bed. My cribs don't convert so we went straight to twin beds.

We were about 2.5. I thought they would be in cribs till 3 at least - no dice! I had planned to do twin beds because we didn't need the extra step. They share a room still and I couldn't fit the twins in there well, and got a smokin' deal on toddler beds at our twin sale, so I went with those.

Now I am in the process of getting them ready for their own rooms, so I could have gone to twins probably - but they'll be in toddlers for a while longer! I like that I get to use our expensive crib mattress for a while longer!

My oldest DD went to a regular bed at 26 months, well we just put a mattress on the floor for her until she got used to it. Then at 2.5 we put her in a full size bed.

We are still in cribs. K&M turned 3 last month.

They love their cribs. I'm guessing our next step will be to buy the toddler rail that goes with their cribs.

We are in cribs but I plan to switch to toddler beds in the next 2 months or so. I wanted to wait until they were 3 (which they will be in January). Mine share a room currently and we can't fit 2 twin beds in there, but if we could I would have skipped the toddler beds and gone straight to twin beds.

We made the swap at 2 and 1/2 years old. We planned on them having their own rooms when we moved here so we made the shift. I don't regret it. We went to toddler beds and regret it. Montana has a double bed and has done so much better with it and Ian has a queen bed. They did not care for their toddler beds. So I think if you have the $$$ go to the bed you foresee them using for a long time.
