At what age did your babies start STTN?

Just wondering when I can expect this? (I know all babies are different)
I know that mine are still young and need to eat every few hours however one of mine never wakes up to eat, I feed her when my ds wakes up to save steps but she sleeps through most of the feedings(although, she does finish the bottle). I often wonder how long she would sleep if I didnt do this. I am kind of scared to see because we have a good thing going compared to how it used to be and I am getting a fairly good amound of sleep but if one would possibly sleep for a 5 hour or more stretch shouldnt I encourage this?

They started sleeping 8 hours through the night at 3 months. they could go longer, but our ped advised against it

Around 4 months they started going to bed at 7, and with a dreamfeed around 11 would sleep until 6 or 7 the next morning. Now at 6 months they pretty consistently go 7p-7:30a.

We were waking one of the boys to eat when his brother woke (like you're doing) but we discovered around 4 months, he really didn't need to wake up- he slept through just fine! I think I remember hearing once they've doubled their birthweight, there's no physical "need" to eat at night- though that doesn't mean they don't "need" to on their own! And FWIW, our sleeper continues to sleep through just fine usually till at least 7:30. While our other, at almost a year still regularly wakes up once a night wanting to be fed. In fact, just last night, he woke up around 3, I didn't feed him as much as I usually do (only so much formula was made up) and he woke up a half an hour later wanting the other 3 oz!

Mine started going 5 hours around two months...then for the past ten days they have gone 8-10 hours overnight. It's weird because they both wake up at the same time and typically nap (the very rare time that happens) at the same time.

Around 3.5/4 months the girls were sleeping 12-13 hours and only waking once. We did CIO with Emma at 4.5 months. After that they both started sleeping through for 11-12 hours, until about 6 months when we started getting a consistent 12 hours.

Up until about 2 weeks ago, mine would wake around every 3 hours or so eat. I couldn't take it anymore so around that time I started reading HSHHC. One of my girls is now sleeping 12-13 hours at a time as of about 10 days ago (praise God!!). My other one is another story though. She usually wakes at least once if not twice at night to eat. I've tried soothing her back to sleep without feeding her but she loves to scream at the top of her lungs until she receives a bottle. I usually give in so she doesn't wake her sister or my DH.

I bet you're probably just on the cusp of having them sleep longer blocks. My suggestion is to not wake a sleeping baby to eat. If we would have done that, we never would have realized that one of the girls could STTN now. I know it's tough right now but hang in there ... it will soon get better. :)

Okay, mine are 10 weeks and are basically sleeping through the night....it just depends. Like, last night I put one down at 7:30 and she didn't wake until 6:30 the next morning...but my other woke at 3:30 am. I guess all babies are different.

Mine have dropped to only one feeding at night (unfortunately is 4 am), but they go to sleep around 830, so that is sleeping through the night -right? I think it will be a long time before they drop the 4 am feeding. They just don't seem to be able to go that long.

Mine started to go 5 hours around 2 months. They started going 7+ hrs around 3 months 1 week. We wake them at 5:30 to eat and get ready for daycare....around 7 to 8 hrs of sleep. On the weekends they can go almost 10 hours!!!!

Now, this is for feedings. Most nights I still get up once or twice to shush or give them a paci. Once in a while I have to rock one of them...but that is happening less and less (except last week when one was sick). Most nights around 3:30 Finn needs to be reassured and given a paci though.

    5-6 hours at 9 weeks (2 feedings)
7-8 hours at 11 weeks (2 feedings - earlier bedtime)
    8-10 hours at 13 weeks (1 feeding)
    12 hours at 5 months

we always woke both the boys to feed. They were pretty consistant about wanting to drop feedings at the same time (maybe because their ID??) -- though i suspect that Jack could have STTN a tad earlier then Tom.

I think my babies are not the norm. The day they came home they did 2 5 hour stretches in a row. So 10.5 hours with a feeding in the middle. At 5 weeks they were doing 8 hours then they would eat and do another 4 hours.

At 8 weeks we were blessed and they started sleeping 12 hours every night.

Since then we have had maybe 5 or 6 nights where one of them woke up due to teething or illness.

Our PED always gave us minimum amounts for each age and he said as long as they got that much formula or breast milk during the day, we did not have to wake them. Thankfully at that age they liked to eat!

Mine BOTH started sleeping from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am at 14 weeks adjusted. It was like magic. They "chose" their bedtime and they also "chose" to STTN. I didn't do any CIO (not opposed to it- just never had to.), or sleep training of any sort. They did it all on their own. They are 6 months old now and still going strong.. Thank the Lord. :)

    Same story here <_< ...

Cassidy had a short one week stint around between 2-3 months of sleeping up to 8 hours, but once she moved from the swing to the crib at 3 months, she was back to waking.

My boys are almost 6 months and some nights they sleep through...some nights not so much! We have pretty much cut out the night feedings so if they do wake we try and get them settled again and let them cry... mostly it will be just a short amount of time..

Beau around 3-3.5 months and by 4 months Savannah was sleeping all night too. I did wake mine up then i thought let me try it and for about 2-4 weeks Savannah was the only one that needed that bottle in the middle of the night but she was a few pounds lighter as well.

good luck, i say try and see how long she goes and dont wake her... Try one night it will tell you alot...

I'm still waiting too. I'm going to do CIO when they hit 7 months (5 1/2 adjusted). Right now they sleep 7:30-12:30 and 1-5/6 and then 5:30/6:30-8.
