What do you do to work out of the house? I am a freelance animator but I know the gig wont last forever. I love being home with my kids so I wanted to know what else people are doing. Thanks :p

I organise gigs (shows are once or twice a month) and also sell on ebay as well as maintain a few websites...... I like working from home as I can stop work to play or feed girls :D

I work in public relations and work in the office three days a week and at home two. The days I'm at home, I only work when I can fit it in, though. Like during naptimes and if they're playing by themselves for a few minutes!

I am an Account Manager for a software company and work FT from home. I do have to occasionally travel, but I control my travel schedule for the most part.

I am a middle school science and environmental education teacher. I am not home all day with them but, I am home by 3:30. I also have the summers, holidays and long weekends with the wee ones. SO, it can be like at home parent at times because we have so much time off in blocks.

I'm a Duty Free planner for tobacco & chocolate. I used to work in our corporate office but when I moved to Charlotte last year, they agreed to set me up with a home office. I got lucky really that they asked me to stay on board and let me work from home.

I am a specialist for my company: travel about two days a week and work from home three days a week.

(currently evaluating options for when my twins arrive - I have no idea if I can continue this job with three kids!)

My grandmother watches my daughter during the day. I step out of my office and play at lunch or when I need a break from conference calls and emails. My grandmother has given us the most wonderful gift - caring for our daughter. She is amazing - she is 75 years old and has more energy than I do carrying these twins!

One time my grandmother was sick and so I took care of my daughter for two days while trying to continue work. It was nearly impossible. I think it took me 2 hours to put together one marketing piece and email it to the sales rep!

Kudos to those who manage to get things done while working from home!

One many days it has been nice to be able to get up at 6AM and get a lot of work done and finish up at 2PM to enjoy the afternoon with my daughter.

In my pre twins' life I was a medical insurance biller and started my own business, in my home, in the fall last year. It has expanded fairly well and I'm now ready to take on one last client.

I don't know if my situation is the type you want to look at though because I do have my boys in daycare- they were home with me until Jan and I got NOTHING done with them here and ended up all night long working.
I do sometimes find it difficult to concentrate with Twinstuff sitting down on my task bar all day...gotta work on that separation thing. LOL

Thanks for all the responces. Those are a lot of great ideas for me to look in to. I'm very interested in the ebay selling since we have a house load of stuff we need to get rid of. :D
