At 9 months Is everyone on a schedule

Can't seem to get a schedule down as their sleep times are so varied day to day and baby to baby. They go down like a dream but they sleep from .5 hours to 2.5 hours. My sister (also a twin mom) says that many cultures just respond to their babies and that's valid also. How normal is it to see no pattern to their days at all at (nearly) 9 months.
    Thanks

Its not only you! My girls have an approximate schedule and at 9 months it was the same thing. Now with giving them more food and less bottles, we've been trying to implement a more set nap schedule, but its a work in progress and every day is a little different. Don't worry you are NOT alone! I wish I could set my watch by their nap schedule, but I think I've had to give up that dream.

We have a pretty good schedule going, hopefully the twins will continue to cooperate with it. I assume as things change...food, number of times they eat or sleep and other things then a new schedule developes.

by the way, your sister also has twins? that is awsome. I'm sure it nice having someone in person you can talk to about certain things

No schedule here! My babies eat when they're hungry, and I wouldn't dream of doing it any other way. Their nap routine is in total flux right now - their needs are in total flux and I'm having a he!! of a time figuring out what they need. But my goal is always napping on demand too. :)

Yes, we had a fairly regular schedule at that point. They had 3 naps at that point and always nursed before and often after the naps. Of course, it does vary. One is a better sleeper than the other.

We are not 9 months yet, but our life is one big schedule and I have very happy, content, well rested, well fed babies.

    For our family this works!

We have been talking about this very thing at our house with our 8.5 month olds. They are taking three short naps a day, and sometimes they skip their third one and it makes for a very crabby 2 hours before bedtime.

Starting tomorrow, we are going to try Ye Olde Weissbluth Magical 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Naps and see if we can get them to sleep just a little bit longer than 30 minutes. Hope I can keep them up until 9 a.m.! They've been getting up earlier and earlier, and it's been around 5 a.m. lately, which also perplexes me because it was 6:30 for the longest time.

We might take advantage of the daylight savings switch in a few weeks and move their bedtime back to 7 p.m. in hopes that they won't get up so danged early. Anyone had any luck with this?
