Are your twin still stroller age?

Hi ladies. Are any of you worrying about how you're going to get three kids around by yourself once the new baby arrives? We have a new baby coming this summer and two boys who just turned two. Our boys are at an age where they don't mind being in the stroller, but I can see that changing over the next 8-12 months. For that reason, I don't want to bother with a triple stroller. Instead, I have the idea of buying a single, but one that can accommodate one of those toddler seat attachments on the front and one of those hitchhiker boards on the back. So the new baby can lay down, one toddler can sit, and one toddler can kind of stand. Does this sound crazy? This can apparently be done with the Valco Tri Mode and the Bumbleride Queen B strollers. Buying a single rather than a triple would be better for us in the long term - I can continue to use it with the new baby after the boys outgrow it. I'd just like some feedback on whether this is a ridiculous idea, and whether either of these manufacturers made good strollers (they both seem good, but as you may know, I'm sort of a queen of buying stroller and then being disappointed).
    Anyway, feedback would be appreciated!

P.S. If you have an idea I'm not thinking of, I'd love to hear it. I need to be able to get three kids around by myself. I know I can put the new baby in a chest carrier and the twins in their double in the early days, but I can't see that lasting. And I don't know if I can trust my boys just to walk with me and a single stroller - it'll take us all day to get anywhere OR they'll get run over!

I was the laughing stock of my city when people saw me out with all four. Hayden and destiny were a bit short of 2 years old when caihlen and serenity were born and i actually had figured out a way to carry both car seats on one arm and hold the other twos hands with the other. Quad strollers are so expensive.

The twins and baby will be about 27.5 months apart. We dont' use the stroller a ton, but I will definitely need to be able to detain them all at the mall, which we do go to a few times a month for the museum and playground. So...I am looking for a triple, used and cheap, just for that purpose. The other places we go, I can probably get away with just the duoglider and one of them walking, since it's just in and out of places.

Just curiouse, do you think the triple is just too bulking?

I have vowed that my two twins will NEVER be allowed to leave the stroller. I purchased a stroller to accommodate them all (sorry it is from New Zealand) but there is no way I can have even one toddler taking off while I'm trying to push a stroller with a baby and toddler in it. I need them all contained. Even now when we stop for a drink I take one out at a time and they sit with me or they are in a high chair. It is just the only way I can see doing it.

I just think a triple stroller is a big purchase considering I won't get many months of use out of it. The affordable triples won't work in the snow (we live in Toronto) so I won't be able to use it in the winter. And I'm sure my boys won't want to sit in it past age 3 anyway. Plus, I live downtown and it's mostly small shops around here so I have enough trouble getting my double in and out!

My singleton was born 23mos after my twins. Nathan was given the boot from the double when Brandon born as he was already fighting getting in it anyways. It took about a month before William boycotted the stroller and we switched to a single stroller.

Mine will be 21 months when the new baby comes. Im planning on babywearing the "baby" and still putting the twins in their stroller.

I'm in Toronto and had my baby when the twins were 20 months old. I have a Valco Twin that I added a toddler seat to. Have yet to take all 3 out in the triple stroller and am still debating whether or not we even need it...I hate to get rid of my Valco though. I usually end up putting the twins in their Maclaren and wearing the baby.

I did buy a single stroller as well for those moments I'm alone with the baby OR one of the twins. The other day I had the baby in his stroller and put "leashes...the animal backpacks) on the twins...they loved it.
