Are your same-sex frats the same size?

A&S have always been very, very close in height & weight, even though they're obviously fraternal. The biggest divergence was around 9 months, when Sarah (my little pudge :D ) was a pound heavier. She's lost the baby fat now, and at their 3y checkup, they were both 36 inches and 28 lbs.

But I just measured them against a wall last weekend, and Amy came out 1/2" taller. I was so surprised by this (though it's possible she was just standing up straighter), it made me realize that I've always taken for granted they'd be the same size. Anyway, just curious if yours are.

Amy is now lording it over Sarah and saying she's "bigger" (as in, more of a big kid) because she's taller.

Nope. Different here. One girl is 7 lbs heavier and 6 cm (almost 2.5 inches) taller than her sister. They definitely look like siblings, but not twins. The smaller one is 50th percentile for height and 10th for weight. My other daughter is 97th percentile for height and 90th for weight. They were over a lb different at birth and the size difference has magnified as they've gotten older.

They are younger than your girls but the bigger one definitely considers herself dominant, but the smaller one is verbally bossier and has started leading play more. It's an interesting dynamic (and really confusing to strangers)

They are within a half inch of one another in height but Anni is heavier. She's not at all chubby, but built like a preschooler should be built. Nat is a pixie. She's just super thin and muscular. Nat is also the bossier and more head strong of the two. She tends to fight dirtier as well. Where Anni will giver her sis a shove, Nat will pull hair, scratch or kick.

Ours are also very different. They were born about 1/2 lb apart, which went down to about 4 oz at one point. But then Tal wilted in her growth and her sister took off rapidly. Maia's 36 inches and 31 lbs. Tal is 34 inches and 26 lbs. But if you look at us, their parents, you can see where the difference comes from. Tal is like DH, not so tall and very very slight in build. Maia is like me, above average in height and big build - big hands, feet, shoulders, muscular. She's also a tad chubby ;) , which we keep hoping will disappear and it never does.

Mine were also born 1/2 lb. apart, but came home 2 oz. apart. Right now, Jonathan is 2-3 inches taller and 8-10 lbs. heavier. And now that they are older, many people who don't know them can't believe they are actually twins, because Jon looks a year older.

Mine don't look that muh different fully clothed BUT .. if you pick them up, Ava feels solid as a rock and Miss Addison is light as a butterfly! Without clothes there is a difference - Ava is built just like her daddy - her weight is evenly distributed. Addison is tiny (I wish I could say she was built like me!) She has a bit of a belly but everywhere else the child is just TINY!! She weighs 20 pounds fully dressed with shoes on. I had them weighed yesterday and Ava was 23 pounds. I don't remember how tall they measured but it was almost exact

This is the greatest difference we have had with the weights.

Mine is very similar in height and weight with Victoria being slighty taller than Athena. But not noticably. Athena feels solid when you pick her up and has a very athletic built, but Victoria feels lighter than her sister, like a little ballerina, although she is the tomboy... they weigh the same though.

If our scale at home is correct, our girls are only 0.5lb apart. I don't know if it is right because one definitely looks and feels heavier. They are around the same height.

Yes, mine are roughly the same size. They weight almost the same and Tyler is about a 1/2 inch taller.

They look around the same, but there is a 3 lb/ 1 " difference. Actually the hieght is more noticable than the weight!

They have always been around the same size, but I think that will change since they have different frames and builds (one petite and the other solid).

My girls are 5 pounds apart. Close to the same height but Sydney has much longer legs. It is interesting how the same clothes fits them differently.

I have ID girls and one is 5 lbs and 2 inches different than her sister! Nobody believes they are twins thinking the taller one is the older sister.

    Go figure.

My boys were 1.5 pounds different at birth - same length. Now, at 3 years 2 months, my bigger boy is still bigger by about 4 pounds, and is also about an inch taller.

When they were around 9-12 months my little guy actually caught up to his brother and "outweighed" him by a few ounces. Until the last year, they were always within a pound or so of each other. However, my bigger one always felt heavier when I picked him up. He is solid as a rock and is very muscular. My smaller one is tough as nails, but oh so tiny.

My boys have always weighed within about a pound of each other but there is about 2.5" height difference. Completely different body types.

They have always been about the same height, within an inch. Bea used to be taller, but now Ainsley is half an inch taller, although maybe they measured her hair! Ainsley was always a couple pounds heavier as a baby, but around age 2 they evened out, but Ainsley still looks and feels heavier. I don't know how that works, but pick her up, and it seems like she weighs more, although they do weigh the same. They have different builds too. Although they are about the same height and weight, Bea looks older, Ainsley still has the baby face and baby arms and legs.

Amy also looks older, for that same reason. And with her being so much more verbal, I wonder if people think she's Sarah's older sister. (Someone did ask me that in the library once -- "How much older is she?" [pointing at Amy] This was around 18m, though.)

Sarah always felt heavier to me too, but I think it had more to do with the fact that Amy held on better. Sarah was like a 20-lb sack of flour. Now (finally) she holds on around my waist with her legs, which helps. So they feel about the same. (I also don't carry them nearly as much as I used to!)

Nope and ever since about 3 months old Zack has been considerably bigger. He is about 3 inches taller than Jack and Zachary weighs 60 pounds and Jackie only 49 pounds!

Mine have always been different since birth. Kira is atleast 5-10lbs heavier and has always been between 1-3 inches taller. They also look nothing a like so they always think Kira the older sister (which she is by a min). They can't even really share clothes either since they are in two different sizes and have been since Kira out grew 0-3mth clothing first.

Nope, huge size difference here. They're 3, and Sabrina is the size of a small 2yo. She's less than 24 lbs, and is under 33" tall. Sydney is 35 lbs and close to 37" tall. Her hair is also about 8 inches longer and she's had a haircut, while Sabrina never has. People always ask how far apart they are. It doesn't help that Sydney speaks a lot more clearly and is vastly more coordinated than Sabrina. To watch her, she just seems older. HOWEVER, Sabrina's potty trained and Sydney's still not very much. Sabrina doesn't speak as clear, having problems w/ r's, l's, th's and a couple more, I think. But she has a larger vocabulary, counts better, etc, and talked long before Sydney did. Oh, and they were almost 2 1/2 lbs different in size when they were born. At almost 38 weeks, Sabrina was still preemie size and had preemie-like feeding issues.

Jessica and Katelyn have generally been about a 1/2 pound apart in weight. The only time we had a big difference was when Katelyn had pneumonia and rotavirus and lost 2 pounds. Katelyn is a little taller than Jessica but that fluctuates as they go through growth spurts. They wear the same size, but Katelyn outgrows pants for length first. Jessica got my longer torso/shorter legs build. I'm 5'7" but can wear some petite size pants but tall size fits my waist better and is more comfortable. Jessica also still has some of her baby fat, giving her face a softer look while Katelyn has lost hers and just looks older. Verbally, they are on parr with each other and both are highly verbal with extensive vocabularies.

Mine have always been nearly the same. At their 3 year checkup they were both 3'2 inches, one was 37lbs. 7ozs. the other was 38lbs. When they have had differences it was always only a few ounces in weight.
