So, I was folding some laundry the other day and I picked up a t-shirt and I had no idea if it was DH's or the boys's! When the heck did my boys get so darn BIG?! They're only 9 and they're wearing a MENS size 8/9 shoe and MENS t-shirts usually medium. Today, my Mom and I were at Goodwill and she found 2 pair of jeans, waist size 30, length size 24...no way would they fit Isiah, Michael tried them on and they were almost too short but were tight. What the heck?! Last winter, one of my friends gave me a ton of jeans, boys size 18, that her son never wore...we ended up cutting them all off but leaving plenty of room for them to roll them up so they could wear them again this year. Last winter, they had to roll them up like 5 or 6 times...this year, NONE!! And, one or two pair are even too short for them. I took Isiah to the dr a couple months ago, he weighed 133lbs...133!! Geez louise these kids are big. LOL I just bought them some new socks, I had to buy mens socks b/c the kids socks are too small. I mean, I kind of knew all this was coming, DH is like 6 feet and wears a size 14 shoe and I'm about 5'7" and wear a size 10/11 shoe but they're only 9. My "babies" are definitely NOT babies anymore. :(

First of all I should mention that Andrea is almost 6 feet tall, so we 'grow' em big around here!

Holly is wearing a size 14 pants and womens size 6 shoes (some are sized 7). Cassie can still fit into the size 12 pants we have (which Holly wore for about a minute! LOL), but it won't be long before she is out of them as well.

I have a hard time when it comes to comparing sizes of kids since my sister and I have BIG kids, while my brother (who himself is 6'4") has smaller kiddos. One of my nephews is 18 months younger that Holly and Cassie and is pretty much the same size (full disclosure-his dad is 6'7", his 2 year old brother is gaining fast, he went from size one diapers almost instantly into 5's, and now wears about a 4T. My brothers son is between my girls and my sisters son, and is much smaller than any of them, his little sister is 15 months old and barely out of 6-9 months clothes!

There is no stopping it, but can't we find a way to keep them little for just a little while longer? It would be so nice to actually be able to snuggle with little bodies again, instead of having to make them get off my lap because I am losing sensation in my feet!

WOW! They are sure getting big. I have tall boys, but they weigh next to nothing. My husband is tall but I am short.

Well I grow 'em big too! Connor & Maddie are around 48" tall, both over 55 lbs. (although Connor fluctuates between 50-55lbs.) Maddie wears a size 7/8 in girls clothes. My nephew Chris is 8 yrs. old and wears a 12 husky or 14 in boys and is probably close to 5' tall. His older brother Zach is much smaller..lol. Zach wears an 8 or a 10 in boys.

I am just under 6' tall, my XH is 6'2 and both sides of the families of the males are over 6'3. Most of the women in my family are close to 5'10+ too.

Wow, they are big, Krystal! B&C are 14 1/2. They weigh 111 pounds, wear a men's size 8 1/2-9 shoe, and anywhere from boys size 16 or 18 pants to a young men's 29 x 30. They are both finally taller than me (I am 5'5".) However, they have not truly hit their growth spurt yet. I keep waiting for them to grow!

    Big kiddos here too.

Abby is 64ish pounds and is 4ft 1 inches tall. She wears a size 4 in shoes, and 10/12 in clothing.

Noah weighs about 83lbs at them moment, but 20lbs of that was gained due to a medication he was on. He is now off that med and the doctors say he will probably lose 75% of what he gained. He wears a size 10H pants, size 4 shoes, and 10/12 in shirts. He is also 4ft 1 inches tall.

Mine have always been 75% for height since they were babies. They are a full head taller then all the kids in their 1st grade class ( We missed the cut off to start school) and are about a year older than on all the kids.

My oldest son is 13 now, but I know what you are going through.

He is in mens size large clothing. He is taller than me - gotta be 5'10" by now & weighs who knows. He shoe size is 11...for now.

He is one big boy. It is hard to wrap my mind around my baby in mens large clothes.

Of course my next son is tall but a lightweight. No passing down clothes

My DS is bigger than her twin brother. Just shy of 5 now, she's 46 inches tall and 40 lbs, shoe size 13. She wears size 6 clothes, but all pants need to have waist adjusters b/c she's so thin. Her undies are only 2-3T!

I had to break down and buy Isiah some new jeans...well, I went to Goodwill, I'm not buying anything BRAND new when they either outgrow it or wear it out so quickly. I made him try on about 10 pairs of jean (LOL) and the ones that fit are size 34 x 30...YIKES!! He wore a pair today and he looked really good in them, it was SO nice to see him in a pair of jeans that actually fit him right, instead of the ones he'd been wearing that were a little too short and just didn't look comfy.
