It is getting harder and harder to keep them entertained!! One of my LOs has completely mastered rolling from his back to tummy and that's all he does...he doesn't like to be on his back anymore. My other LO still likes being on his back and will play under the play gym, but that only lasts so long. I am running out of ideas to keep them occupied until nap time. They are at the stage where they want more to do, but can't really pick up toys. We sit them up with us and they LOVE sitting up so I was thinking about getting some bumbo chairs. What about Baby Einstein videos?? Would they keep their attention?

I have two bumbos-we just started using them this weekend and the kids love them! I was skeptical after reading some people thought they were useless. My LO's had big smiles and seemed so proud to be sitting up! Since about two months' I have been using reclining feeding seats (from target)in front of tv for BE videos-one of them loves it and follows everything on screen-the other not as much and it puts her to sleep! Oh and the other thing mine like is kicking at crib piano toys I bought-they just love to kick at them now at 3.5 months! Good luck! It is hard at this stage!

Mine didnt care for the bumbos. So maybe only get one to start with. We started getting out everyday at about that age. They loved to be on the go and see things. We did lots of floor time too.

I think at that age we busted out the exersaucers and put some blankets around them:)

I think it was the hardest time for us, until they started trying to catch objects... We just put them under play gyms, in the bouncer, in the swing, with some tummy time in between. Mine never cared much for bumbos and almost got knocked over a few times because they kicked the floor so I don't really recommend them, but some kids do great in them. I think it's too early for exersaucers etc (but again once they were old enough for them I didn't use them much either as I liked them to use their gross motor skills on the floor). I really wouldn't recommend TV as it's potentially harmful for children under 2.

So yeah, tough age. I think I spent a lot of time taking pictures of them at that point...

my last singleton loved her bumbo!!!! I highly recommend them. We had a tray for it too and we kept a little tote of small toys beside her and very early on she would rifle through the box to get toys and play with them on the tray. I also called BE baby crack lol it grabbed her attention like notthing could it was seriously amazing! It is definiely a hard age, my twins are coming up on it now too. Good luck!

I was SO bored during that stage! I would rotate them between floor time (forcing them to do tummy time...which they hated) and bouncy/swing time. I didn't get a Bumbo until 5 months (but my boys didn't have great head control until then). Look on Craigslist for a used one first! You can get it for 1/2 the price.
