Are these names too twin-y?

We are expecting b/g twins and my husband and I have been playing the name game for a while. We currently like Alexis for the girl, and he wants to name the boy Alexander. I think they are just too close together...any other opinions??

I agree that they are too similar, but if you like them go for it. You could always use Alexander as a middle name. One of my twins is a William Alexander

 

Yep, I agree. Too similar I think. Esp. if they both get Alex as a nickname.

Yeah that's too close even for me. If they ended the same it would be different because nicknames are usually derived from the start of the name

I was afraid that everyone would agree!!! Nicknames would be Alex for the boy and Lexi for the girl, but when you have their full names it just looks too alike!!! Thanks for your opinions!
