OK, so I had a big ultrasound today and baby A was measuring 5 lbs 2 oz and baby B was 5 lbs 3 oz! I'm only 33 weeks! I know these things can be off, but doesn't that sound big??? Am I off target here???

I think the weights sound higher than they usually are at that point, but I think the bigger, the better. Good job! Ultrasounds can also be off by a pound or so.

AGREED.. IT SOUNDS GREAT!!!!!! Not all ultrasounds are dead on though... I would rather they have them messured as too big then too small. GREAT JOB MAMA!!!!!

Not too big- at around 34 weeks those weights are about 50% percentile, so yours are a little bigger, but still well on the chart.

seems about right to me! Of course at 37w5d when my girls were born they were 7.2 and 9.1, so bigger was how we always measured.

Sounds wonderful! Those are big babies! I just had my 32 week ultrasound today and Baby A was 4 lbs 3-4 oz. and Baby B was 3 lbs. 15 oz. Doc was happy with those weights and said they're still measuring the size of a singleton at this point so I'd say you are doing great!

At 31w 5d mine were estimated 4lbs 9oz and 4lbs 8oz and at 35w 5d my babies were estimated to be 7lbs and 7lbs 2oz! Sounds like you are growing healthy big babies!

At 32 weeks Baby A weighed 6 pounds, and Baby B weighed 5 pounds 1 ounce. They were born at 35 weeks, 2 days and Baby A weighed 6 pounds, and Baby B was 6 pounds 1 ounce. I think the ultrasound was a little off.

Thanks for all the responses -- its weird.. the ultrasound technician was going crazy saying how big they were. And then she came in and was saying maybe they weren't quite as big for their age as she thought... I did more research and they look like they are smack dab in the 50th percentile... just like all you ladies were saying. Thanks!

Lets just keep them in for a bit longer now....

A woman at my mom's work had her twins recently at almost 32 weeks and they were just under 4 pounds each which is very good. So yours may be atad off buty sounds like they are still big and thats great! I have a feeling I will have the same thing when I go in next Friday-I will be 32 weeks 2 days and since they measured 2.9 and 2.11 at 27 weeks 4 days I would assume they'd be over 4 lbs...we'll see.

Mine both measured 5 lb 13 oz at 34 weeks. They were born at 35 weeks weighing 5 lb 1 oz and 5 lb 3 oz. Sounds "normal" to me. Good for you and big babies!

Mine measured lower 6lbs range at 34 weeks, so a week further, and they were right in my case. They were born close to 8lbs at 38w2d. Keep going!
