Are there shots at the 2-year checkup?

I know all peds are different, but just wondering if the 2-year checkup includes shots. (I'm assuming it does.) Has anyone had their kids get a flu shot at the same time as other shots?

Their 2-year checkup is in mid-November, so it would be a good time to get the flu shot, but I'm wondering if I risk a worse reaction if they have them all at once?

we had shots at 2 yrs old, but i don't remember which ones. our pedi WILL do flu shots at the same time as other vaccines, but I don't think we've ever scheduled it that way. my boys haven't ever had a reaction to the flu vaccines, thank goodness.

Yes, I believe there are, but off hand don't remember which ones.

We've never gotten the flu shot the same time as other shots because our ped's office doesn't do flu shots. So we have to get them from the health dept.

The flu shot was given in two parts when we had it. They had one half with their other shots and then I had to bring them back for a nurse visit to get the second round.

We didn't have any shots at 2 years. They had shots at 15 & 18 months. If you had those two appointments and haven't delayed any shots, they should be done until kindergarten.

That's how ours did the flu shot last year (in two parts), but I thought it was because it was their first-ever flu shot.

Our ped doesn't give shots at 15m, but I think we got all of them at 18m. We haven't delayed any intentionally.

I guess I should just call them... I just hate to bother them (I'd rather bother you guys instead :) ).

No shots here for the 2yr WBV. I do have to call the pedi and bring the girls in for their flu shot and see if they are offering it to the parents again this year too.

Alden-I just checked our peds vax schedule and they only one we will get at 2 years is the Hep A #2, they both got the first one at 12 months. But that is the only one listed. Has your ped given the Hep A vax to your girls?

We didn't have any shots at 2 years. It was a time for missed shots and so they didn't need any. I would think it would be okay for them to get their flu shot at the same time. I would ask your dr.

Yes, we got shots at their 2 year visit. I am not sure which ones. We were offered the flu shot but declined since they are not in a daycare environment or around other kids.

we had the hep a #2 and also the MMR (because we had elected to delay it until then) at our 2 yr. and if it were me i would def do flu shots at the same time - get 'em all over and done with!

We did NOT have shots at 2 yr. visit. We were current with them all already, so it wasn't necessary. I would do the flu shot if available at that time. I would actually like to get ours earlier!!!
