My girls are 10 months, 8 adjusted. Madison is crawling and Brooke is close behind. A lady is offering me 2 for $20 and iM not sure if my girls are too old for them [IMG] We are at families house and their house is just NOT baby friendly. madison is falling all over and bumpign her head on everything lately, so Im looking for a way to contain them but give them room to move around. Can these be used on carpeting?
    Thanks!

About the carpet...they won't work on carpet really well. You could use them outside in the driveway though??

Not so good on carpet! But they are wonderful! And it is not too late! Enjoy them! [IMG]

I am copying this from my post in another thread last week but if this is your first experience with walkers I think it is important to repeat.

I didn't use walkers but I just wanted to point out some other concerns, besides just the stairs to keep in mind when considering walkers.

    From the AAP website.....

    quote:
    Children in baby walkers can:
    # Get burned - a child can reach higher when in a walker. A cup of hot coffee on the table, pot handles on the stove, a radiator, fireplace, or space heater are all now in baby's reach.
    # Drown - a child can fall into a pool, bathtub, or toilet while in a walker.
    # Be poisoned - reaching high objects is easier in a walker.
    # Pinch fingers and toes - by getting them caught between the walker and furniture.

and this is the part of the article that sticks out the most to me......

Most walker injuries happen while adults are watching. Parents and other caregivers simply cannot respond quickly enough. A child in a walker can move more than 3 feet in 1 second!

Just somethings to consider and think about.

Absolutely, Dianne! You can never be too careful with any piece of equipment that you put your babies in! [IMG]
