I've been thinking of getting some Bumbo chairs for the kids, they love to sit up and play. Did you like them?

For us, it was 50/50. One loved it, the other not so much. :pardon: My suggestion, if you decide to get them, is to only buy one first. :good: This way you can try it out and see if they both enjoy it. Good luck! :)

Well we went with the Fisher Price Super Seat from Target. It has more to offer with toys, a tray and turns into a booster seat for the table.. But we heardly used it. And we only had one.

Mine hated them. They were barely used. Not worth it for us. Thankfully we only had one.

We had them, the girls figured out how to get out of them in less than two weeks, and never spent more than 5 mins in them

Didn't use them very long at all. I think they are kind of a waste.

If you really want to try it, I suggest just getting one.

Bumbos were a LIFE SAVER!! We loved them!!!! Get them with trays. We started solids in them and it was nice to get them sitting to watch baby einstein or play.

We also loved them and still do - have used them since they were holding their heads up - started solids in them and still feed them in them - they are just beginning to climb out now when they have had enough - great for taking to friends to fed - and into the garden also. But they are expensive so maybe try picking up second hand ones?

I have the Bebe pod seats and used them a ton. I bought them used from other another twin mom and totally thought they were worth it.

We love ours! We had two for my daughter. Easy to clean is a plus. We kept one at home and one in the car for her to sit in anywhere we went. They work really well at restaurants as boosters. I would put Sofie in her Bumbo and sit her right on the table and feed her mashed potatoes at 6 months. When I was preparing meals, I would sit her in her seat on the counter (never an arms length away) and she would just watch everything I did in awe. We also use them a lot for the kids at our school with special needs. It helps them build trunk and neck strength. Our PT's and OT's swear by them. But of course if a child doesn't like to sit in it, then you're out of luck. You also have to be careful when they get a bit older and are able to put both feet on whatever surface they are on and push themselves out backwards, at that point the tray comes in handy to keep them locked in. We began using ours as soon as she had good head control up until about 14 months, so we got a good years use out of it. My husband swears that she sat up earlier and walked earlier because of it.

Loved them, but definitely buy them used - you'll only be able to use them for 3 or 4 months, and they're a bit expensive. I think I got mine for around $25 each off Craigslist (incl. trays).

We did use them for about 3mnths, now the babies are not very interested in being confined in a seat! If we could have bought them second hand I think they would have been worth it.

    Ditto...Craigslist Rocks!

We are still using ours at 9 1/2 months....EVERYDAY! (they climb in them to get a snack!)

I think they were good to practice head support and sitting up, but mine fussed fast in theirs. My issue with them is that both my babies ended up trying to kick to stand up in them, and both times they almost tipped over. That was at 5 and 7 months. So I'm not risking it anymore... I don't really think that they are safe anymore.

I have 2 of them, but I purchased them both used off of Craigs List for $20 instead of the $40 they cost in the store. Both of my kids can get out of them no problem, but we use them a lot when travelling as high chairs. They were worth it for our family.

I have been using mine the past 3 weeks (the babies are 5.5 months, almost 4 adjusted), and they seem to like it for short periods of time. I can see a big improvement in their neck and back strength. I put them in about 3 times a day as part of their "rotation" through the activities...and try to give them a toy to hold on to. So far, so good, so I'm glad I have 2 of them.

If you do decide to get one. Get a used one of craigslist.

Not for us. This was the general consensus Crying Bumbo. That's DS1 in the picture and DS2's legs were too fat so he didn't care for it either. By the time they might have liked it they could turn them over.

I will say though they made for a couple of cute photos (head shots) without my or DHs hands in the way. You just had to be fast and get the pic before the screaming started.
