    Hi,
We decided to finally take down the sides of the cribs after I thought the room was completely"safe proofed" we had a very succesful night without any mischief...unfortunately the second night I didn't take the Aquaphor tub out of the room after using it and they managed to get it down in the dark and put it in their hair!! Fortunately, Poison Control said at the most it will act as a laxative or they may throw up. I really didn't think they ingested any but I monitored them every few hours last night.

We have washed their hair repeatedly and without much success...it is still a stringy oily mess. I called the Pediatrician and the nurse didn't have any solution other than continue washing and wiping with a towel.

Does anyone else know of a solution or encountered this?

not with aquaphor...but with vaseline! It wasn't pleasant, but what worked well for us was dish soap. They do say it cuts grease, after all!!! We just carefully washed Ethan's hair with dishsoap...oh, probably a good half dozen times! It was still, um, well moisturized? for a day or two, but then it felt clean as always! GOOD LUCK!

I was going to suggest dish soap or laundry detergent. Just make sure to rinse thoroughly.

Our girls emptied a whole jar of petroleum jelly on themselves. What finally worked (after 10 or so shampoos, including dish soap) was corn starch. I dumped a half a box on each, massaged it in, then it washed right out with regular shampoo.
