sooo doc checked both babies on the mini u/s screen, both are breech and transverse, no biggie i guess this early? baby a is pretty squished down low, no wonder my cervix hurts all the time! he gave me the paperwork to see the maternal-fetal specialist because of the AFP results. he said even though they calculated in the twin factor my results were slightly high. i hope and pray its just a fluke. im measuring 22wks, and get this...ive gained 20lbs since i got pregnant!! hollllly crap! just in the past 3 weeks ive gained 8lbs. doc didnt say anything about it but im a lil concerned. did any of you gain so much at first? i was 132lbs and im 5'7", now up to 152lbs and im only 19wks (on friday). the big u/s is friday (we find out the sexes woohoo!!!). the specialist has to call me for the appt. for the AFP follow up. sooo we shall see!!

I would be happy about the weight gain. I'm not gaining enough and my OB is one of those that thinks the more the merrier so I've been getting a lot of flak about it. Hey, maybe you could send me some of yours if you are worried. :D

ETA: I have gained 30 lbs so far, so I am gaining, just not as much as the OB would like.

Well I started 123 (and I’m 5’5) and I’m 163… but I gained more with my singleton and lost that quick so as long as I stay close to that weight I’m happy (I hit 200 with him and he arrived at35 w)
    So your good...

From the book I'm reading about expecting multiples, it's says you should gain 25 pounds by 20 weeks and 36 pounds by 28 weeks to give your babies the best chance. i have gained nowhere near that, although I'm starting to catch up. I just bought the book last week, I'm wishing I would have known this from the beginning. Sounds like your doing well.

Yep, I started out at 134 and am 5'4". I weighed 171 at my last apt. on 1/28, the dr. didn't have any problems with it. It is good to gain weight for the babies and as long as the dr isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry. Keep doing what you are doing.
