Appointment today

Today I had a check-up, u/s, and glucose screening. The u/s was great...we got some really cute shots of his face and it made me even more excited about the 3d/4d we have in a couple of weeks. During my check-up, I told the midwife about my contractions so she checked my cervix and said it's still closed and thick. She checked for any vaginal infections that could be causing them and couldn't come up with anything. She also said my urine looked great so that's not an issue. We kind of just came to the conclusion that it's most likely the stress of the past few weeks dealing with the girls constantly being sick while I get more and more uncomfortable, then the holiday, then the family tragedy we're dealing with right now. She told me to get as much extra rest as I can and call them if they increase in frequency. So, anyway, my bp was 110/60, my hemoglobin was 11.5 (which they said was perfect), and my total weight gain so far is a little less than 10 pounds. The glucola stuff has made me nauseous and shaky all day but I'm sure I'll be fine in the morning.

So that's my 27 week appointment. I'll be going every two weeks from now on. It's so weird realizing the differences in the treatment of a singleton pregnancy vs a twin pregnancy!

 

Wow, you start going every 2 weeks already? CRAZY!!! I think I start that at 30 weeks...next apt is at 26, then 30, then every 2 weeks (I think).

Sounds like you had a good apt. I'm excited to see how your 3D u/s goes...it's awesome!!!
